How’s the Dinan BBK vs a Wilwood, StopTech, Brembo?

Dinan BBK is just a rebranded brembo. So same in that aspect. I prefer brembo over stop tech, stop tech replacement are cheaper tho which is a huge plus. Willwood I don’t know, It’s a option I don’t consider on my cars.

Didn't want to say anything, but yeah, hood and bumper appear to be a different color than the rest of the car in every picture.

Yah idk what to tell you guys, it appears so on the pictures in the park but the car is all one solid color.. Gotta stop using the HDR feature on my iPhone lol

Is it just the lighting or is the hood a slightly different silver? It seems to have more of a tan hue to it.
Just noticed your sig has Ben H. Which is also how I would shorten my last name. Weird....

It’s the lighting from the sunset behind the trees. Car was recently polished so its like a mirror up close in certain angles. See how it looks in different lighting the hoods silver and the sides have a tan hue lol.

My brother posted it up... doesn’t know much about the car and posted some terrible pictures. Told him if he’d sell it I’d give a finders fee lol. I’m going to repost it on bring a trailer soon with the proper info. If I get a high price I’ll sell, if It doesn’t I’ll keep it not in the rush.

I would say yes, but it would take some modification. Here is a e24 trim ring over my e30 lights. They are the same diameter, but the spacing between the lights isn't the same. *note the light holes seem larger in the e24 grills because of the chrome trim rings.

I just used buffing compound. If its really bad, you will need to sand through the anodizing and polish them. Its an extremely long and time consuming process.

More progress. I pulled the valve cover off to replace the gasket, paint the cover, paint the air box and AFS, replace the breather hose, and do the oil tube update @YoungCRmentioned earlier.

I used the Evapor-rust to clean the clips and bolts holding stuff together while I strip and paint stuff and bake it on the oven with VHT.

Before the modified oil squirter looked like this( when I finally got it out)

    IMG_3947.JPG

And after I compressed the center. This is a common fix to help add oil pressure to lubricate the front rocker arms during low RPM driving. IMG_3949.JPGIMG_3948.JPG

I want to do this mod to mine!

I would like to know as well. I made an appointment with the guy in Madison and he cancelled on me. After that I figured it was a joke and waste of time so I never rescheduled.

Lets see some pics of the damage.

Here's a before! They are pretty rough, been on the car for 15 years.  (Paint work came out great btw) lol

I emailed them about a month ago, sent photos as requested.  No response.

I made a appointment with them, coming out Tuesday, 75$ a wheel for rash repair, stripping paint and clear... bends more if they are bad,  not bad. Will keep you posted.

Paint looked fine IMO too, but then again I never saw the car in person. Are you really going to chop up that nice car with a pandem kit? :(

Silver hides imperfections in photos. Had a lot of mini rock chips when you look really closely. I'm thinking of doing the pandem. Not 100% on it. But when done right it looks really cool and aggressive. I've seen cars that look like crap with the kit, and cars that look super nice. All Depends on the quality of install.

Um, the paint looked fine before.

You should see my e30, you'd cry

Im liking the look of the car

Hahaha yah the paint was good and I was gonna leave it but it had rock chips and some dents here and there that were bothering me.  I plan on keeping the car for a while and I've had some free time so I wanted to finish everything before the pandem wide body comes in. :-)

  12. A little update.  I did some work on the m3.i went with the beisan vanos rebuild kit, BEbearings rod bearings, CSB, Guibo and some small power steering lines and some other stuff that the car needed. It had rock chips and a few dents here and there so I am doing some paint work now. Will have more pictures when the cars done.
