Boris3 got a reaction from rampelsauce in WIBIMMERS SNO◊DRIFT 2014 OFFICIAL THREAD
We had at least 50 cars plus two trucks doing tow duty on the ice yesterday, running exercises and the full course from close to shore to well
Into the middle of the lake. Three hours in the morning and three in the afternoon. No issues at all.
Make it if you can guys, it is a blast!Kick the rear end out and throttle steer like crazy. Wish I didn't have a work conflict so I could join everyone.

If you guys are on your own make sure you have someone there with a 4wd pickup and tow straps. Folks will rage drift off course into the snow banks and beyond. Most of the time you can get together and push them out but some times you need the truck.

Did the Audi Club ice school up at Hutisford yesterday. You'll have a great time. The course has many drifting opportunities. Snow tires will be a big help. Mostly awd and fwd folks yesterday and only a few rwd.

You're still good. When co-founders Wayne Dempsey or Tom Gould calls you personally to thank you then start to get worried.

Curious about where on the RA grounds they hold this (kart track, open black top paddock areas) and how many runs we'd get.

Where things are made can be an interesting question. The Maxima has been assembled in the US since 2004 and is classified as "domestic" since it meets the 75% domestic content rule. Ok, but under NAFTA this includes parts made in the US, Canada, and Mexico. But under the American Automobile Labeling Act (basis for the NHTSA figures) domestic content figures include US and Canada. The annual Cars.com content %s focus only on US. So the scale you choose matters. Maxima's engine is "made" in the US, and transmission is "made" in Mexico (which means that each of these parts is assembled in the location, and again is comprised of parts that meet the "domestic" content threshold of 75%??). In a global production world things get complicated.

Up and running after about three years of neglect, new lower oil pan, assorted m42 air and water hoses and belts, fresh fluids, actually idles now and runs.
Still need snow tires.

Boris3 got a reaction from KaiserRolls in Fox Valley E30 Parts Needed - Local Junkyards?
Any chance the yard has E30 Brilliantrot drivers door and passenger fender? Not clear to me why I'd want to replace body parts on a beater...but I gave up rational a long time ago.
