TehRaydarlover
Damn! Good call! Went out and started it and when it started to stumble, I unplugged the TPS and it immediately shot back up to 900rmp. Can the TPS be adjusted or does it just need to be replaced? I do have a spare if needed.
YoungCR
Protip: you learned the lesson on using powerwashers on engine bays, its a no no. Spraying hot water after soaking in degreaser (mean green or equivalent) is best unless you have access to a steam cleaner. B C
It can be adjusted but the tb has to come off (no big deal) It is a three position switch, idle, part throttle, full throttle. So the switch can be checked for proper adjustment with a continuity tester
TehRaydarlover
Pulled the tb off but one of the mounting screws for the tps is stripped. Kinda annoying.
TehRaydarlover
Installed the spare TPS and it still doesn't want to idle correctly. when I unplug the TPS the rpms jump up to 900 where it should be. With it plugged in they are at around 6-700... makes me sad.
B C
Idle control valve may be suspect then since the TPS signals the idle control valve to run.
TehRaydarlover
Forgot about the idle issue, it went away I think it just took some time for something to get dried out.. power washing engine bay - never again Also someone at a car show I went to took this with a real camera.. I like! Also thanks Andy for the new fog light! got it in just in time for the show

Earl
I was just thinking of finding a set of those exhaust manifolds....
TehRaydarlover
We'll see, I want to put it on an engine stand, pull the oil pan and see how a few crank and rod journals look compared to the crank I have. I more or less bought the s52 stuff as a financial investment so I guess if the price is right.

TehRaydarlover
Yeah it look pretty nice. It had me worried when I tried to drain the fluid out it was dry 0.o but then I realized the axles have been out for a year letting it all drain out. B C
What are these custom parts?
TehRaydarlover
I'm adding two extra spider gears so I need a part made to support the ends of the shaft for the extra spider gears. This might help, imagine two more small gears perpendicular to the ones in this picture.
YoungCR
Is this solving a common problem or just over-engineering for fun?
TehRaydarlover
The two spider gears in the front diff like to explode with more than 3-400ftlb of torque. This will hopefully solve that problem. A guy in Finland with an 800hp ix did something like this and it worked pretty well.
TehRaydarlover
This is a video of it from 2010 with the stock front diff I believe, he went through like 5 front diffs before he reinforced one like this.
