jockhater2
I stopped by my sisters for the first night after I hit up my first test drive. A 2007 CCLB Duramax but passed on it. While I was at her house visiting I took some pictures of my brother-in-laws BMW that I figured you guys would like. It's a 540i (I think he said 2001) Then I visited my mom the next night. A friend and I ended up getting wasted and walking around town lost. Ended up puking from 10pm-6am intermittently. Took it easy the next day. Then Monday hit it hard in Houston on the search for my vehicle. I went to "Diesel of Houston". They had 8 duramax's. 3 were in my price range. So after test driving the 3. I picked up a 2005 LLY for a really good price.

jockhater2
this girl needed to be driven hard. when I was test driving her. she was tossing black out the exhaust on hard acceleration and it's a stock truck. but it's cleaned up now after a fuel filter change and some hard driving. patsbimmer1
I like the white TE37's on the 540i. I've always liked those wheels.

That is pretty awesome, especially since you were towing. Wonder what it would get without a trailer on it.....you know, for those of us that do that with our trucks. Bassboy3313
from my experience with my diesel Ford Excursion back in the day, MPG for a diesel doesn't really change whether you are towing or not. I got steady MPG no matter what I was/wasn't towing.

I got steady MPG no matter what I was/wasn't towing. It'll go down of course but Its not nearly as drastic as a gas engine under load. Was the excursion a 7.3 or 6.0? jockhater2
After hand calculating it. I averaged 17mpg over 1700 miles of driving. I am impressed since it doesn't have highway tires on. And the EGR hasn't been deleted and it still has a cat/muffler on the exhaust. True but I enjoy my consistent 18-19mpgs in my 6.5 burb. Its a great motor if taken care of properly just like anything else. jockhater2

I do too, can't wait to get a 3" turbo back on mine. I've gotten 20's doing pure highway but thats my city/highway average. jockhater2
REKIII
I didn't have a trailer. You're funny. Why lie? You said guys with trucks who don't tow are douche bags. I think you were towing. Was it just a small trailer? YoungCR

jockhater2
This truck is actually a little bitch 2500. It has highway mirrors instead of towing mirrors. It has the best MPG gear ratio. It didn't come installed with a 5th wheel and it's never had a trailer hitch on it. This truck was a total douche bags truck which is perfect for me. Super douche it up. REKIII
