See what you can come up with. Sometimes im surprised at how early certain technologies popped up in German cars. What year/model was the first BMW to have:

 

List updated with some answers. 

 

 

FIRSTS

 

-Projector headlamps

 

-HID lighting

 E32 7 series (1986-1995)  exact year not known, but it appears that it was the first production car in the world to offer them.

E9 CSL Racecar (1976)  (**there could still be an earlier DOHC engine, especially in the aircraft engine days)

-ABS

-Alloy engine block

 

-Hoffmeister kink

3200 CS (1962) although this design cue was featured on other non BMW cars earlier than 1962.

It also appears that the 3200 CS was the last BMW to feature a pushrod engine, body on frame construction, and solid rear axle!
