agreed - good climbers have crazy strength and muscle endurance! my brother is a rock climbing guide out in utah. leading a pitch can take him from 10 minutes to hours depending on the circumstances. Difficulty, if its a new climb that needs anchors placed, novice level of the belayer that will be following, etc all come into play. Maybe that guy was also still learning so extra time was needed (which is a good thing, because planning and safety are obviously critical in rock climbing)
a story he shared with me re: safely leading a climb -
he went a climbing/repelling adventure with a friend who was visiting him near zion national park. at some point during the day they came across another group doing the same. they stopped and chatted, then took a break and watch that group repel for a few minutes. it was super clear to him they were being very unsafe and sloppy in technique, so he kindly let them know. they were, of course, young and cocky and dismissed his concerns. well, a couple hours later on his way back out of the canyon he came back across the same group in the same place. sure as shit, one of the girls in the group had fallen down their repel after he left and had broke her femur. compound fracture. in the middle of nowhere with a clearly inexperience and unprepared group leader. it was late in the day, with little water left in the group and the girl was in shock. my brother and his friend (both Marines) field dressed, splinted and proceed to carry this poor girl out of the canyon, including setting up rigging to to pull her up the repel she fell down and doing half of the rescue in the dark. injuries in hard-to-access places are the most dangerous.

very awesome, welcome to the club.
have to agree, my favorite part of this is the non-rusty chassis. its strange and delightful to remove suspension bolts with normal hand tools.

i find many things wrong with this.
art is creative human expression. trying to remove the human from it seems sad to me. no emotion, no story, no heart, no intelligence or understanding of the effect the art could have. yes, a guy programmed a computer, but the point of the programming was for the guy to not have an influence on the art, just to get a computer to do it.
the took an 'ai' program that already existed and plugged in other peoples art that already existed - not much of that seems original.
and again, there is no actual car with art on it, like the last dumb bmw digital art 'car.' one of the endearing parts of bmw's art car program was the physical paint on the car. an artist applying their creativity to the surface of this machine created piece of equipment. it was a great contrast.
i find it hilarious that they didn't just pick one, they chose an array. obviously none were very good on their own so it had to be a collection to make it seem more interesting. quantity over quality. look at the high res images, the graphics arent even clear, they are all pixelated and fuzzy. its 2021, we cant even have 1080p art cars?
also, calling their own art a 'masterpiece' is so cringe. much facepalm.

I’ve personally seen this car in person. It’s very well done, but I still for the life of me do not understand the rear doors.
This is lovely, and I hate red cars.
i like the decision to keep the rear 'doors'. it emphasizes the modification and makes it whimsical, versus just looking like a factory 2 door micro-car.

Man, I hope not. Would be a crappy start to ski season.
In all seriousness though, these boats are built specifically as multi-engine towboats, so they’re pretty well reinforced and don’t have any problems taking the load as long as they’re kept up and aren’t rotted out. The transom itself is probably 4ish inches thick and has half inch aluminum plates reinforcing it on either side as well. A demonstration of what they’re actually capable of pulling:
80 person pyramid:
I didnt realize it was a tow boat, it looks so small for the 3 motors I assumed it might be 900hp strapped to a crappy bass boat or something.

build the shed. put a sign up that says "chicken coop". stick a stuffed chicken in there. leave a little chicken wire on the side. you technically have a building used to house a chicken.

chris: ding dong ditches himself. removes doorbell. square locked down.
does this all have to be on a BMW or can it be any car we own?

for rock climbing, someone's newbie skills will be a far bigger obstacle than their strength. (unless your strength to body weight is absurd, obviously)

if you want the 4-post to be easily accessible without dollies or austin-powers hallway Y turns.
yellow area = clear area. gives access for vehicles and equipment into both lifts, lawn area and storage area.
also the "work area" with tool boxes and work benches are near both lifts
the storage area leaves room for storage of one or two more vehicles in the inevitable event you have that need, and is also easy to just drive into (no jostling if the clear area is clear)

yes, but the red one has been resprayed, but not full resprayed. maybe vinyl wrapped? The engine bay, door jambs, etc are still bronze.

do you have a picture/dimensions of the 4 post?

You'd have to see these in person but they're not actually 7000k color, they're like a hyper white color once they're warmed up and even seeing it driving down the road at me there's no blue or purple color to it. My guys at The Retrofit Source highly recommended these and the tests they've done have these ranked at a higher lux than just about any other D1S out there. There isn't a better bulb on the market than the Osram CBB.
Skip ahead to the 3:40 mark to see the comparison. The color on the screen is accurate to what you see in real life.
i stand corrected on the brightness! its odd that they've rated the color so high when they are clearly just as white as the 5000k stuff. the guy in the video is confused as well.

For the first time I bought upgraded D1S HID's and tried them in my wife's Volvo and I'm blown away how much better they are. I bought Osram 7000k Cool Blue and they're noticeably brighter than the OEM bul I took a picture of new vs old below both warmed up.
i thought everyone was over with the purple headlight colors?
4300 or 5000k have like 50% more lumens than 7k and dont suck in the rain. imagine the jump you just had, double it for good 4000k bulbs!

that checks out. anyone caught inside this car should be embarrassed.
QuoteI have $18,500 in upgrades. No joke, a full 22k+ worth!

metal closet door top track (box style):
+ hook setup: big eye hook (pry open) with machine threads + 2 lock nuts + nylon washers/regular washers. maybe electrical tape or plastic dip to coat the hooks and not scratch your rims.
or
iron pipes with some sort of hook setup around the pipes. that industrial look is all the rage these days.
obviously dont buy from amazon, but this sorta setup on the wall: https://www.amazon.com/Turnbull-Farms-Industrial-Pipe-Curtain/dp/B01EKNPGLK
maybe with figure eight hooks, bent as needed.
