SAABcentral.com is a pretty useful forum that has a lot of 900 content! I had a '91 900 for a bit a few years back (not in this area unfortunately so I don't know of anyone local), I miss looking at and driving that car but I really don't really miss the endless hunting for parts...

Love it! What locality was it? We are actually in the Chicago area and don’t mind a bit of a trip for the right expert. I’ll check out SAAB central too, thanks for the tip!

If my count is correct, it was over 10 years ago that I sold my previous e30 to @visian , so it was time to pick up another.

It’s a 1987 325i 5 speed in schwarz over cardinal. My friend’s parents owned it for the last 10 years but only put 3,000 miles on it during that time, and it’s been stored out of the elements.

We’ll see if this gets a thread or not. I’m not planning on going crazy with this car. This will be the simple, carefree summer cruiser to serve as a counterpart to the angry, money pit Volvo.

Congrats @thefullbanana just saw this! Enjoy the vert

  3. Question, this may be a silly question to ask in a BMW forum, but y’all are smart and know people. I’m looking for a SAAB fanatic for a friend who has an 87 900 turbo (awesome) in need of some TLC. Anyone out there know of someone who is a SAAB expert? It’s a little niche, I know.

What about that satisfying feeling of pushing the cartridge in the console and hearing it snap in?  And having all of those cartridges laid out in front of you and picking your favorite to plop in there.  There's so much nostalgia!

Very true, no substitute for the real thing. The nostalgia is definitely missing a bit, trust me you're talking to the guy who just pulled all his 90's lego sets out of the basement to rebuild over the holidays haha

  5. Am I the only one that still has an N64?  I've got 1080 snowboarding, Mario Kart, Turok, Golden eye, NFL QB club 98 and a few other games.

I do but it's in permanent residence at my parents house, joint sibling custody is hard. Plus with emulators you can save at any point and do other things not available on the console. No cartridges, and games from n64 are about 10-20MB so you could DL the entire Nintendo 64 library of games if you wanted! Still looking for a good version of Ken Griffey Jr Baseball though.

  6. I hit up the online NES and SNES emulators once in a while but playing on a computer keyboard is dreadful

Step 1 - the m/f USB extension is in case you have a computer attached to your tv and you want to play from the couch. The cord on the mars controller is 6ft.

Here's my bounty from jdesign! Pantyless Bra kit is for an 05 corolla hubba hubba. My e30 doesn't have enough skulls on it yet so this is perfect. Do you think if I install these womp pedals, some tasty guitar licks will flow from my exhaust? Muscle thunder is going up in the office and flag in the garage! Thanks so much!!

  8. That reminds me I have an extra e30 trunk mount cable laying around too.

I would love to use that on my E30. I hate that the battery is in the engine bay.

Is the entire shifter going to be machined? The center section could be a plate burnout with round stock welded around the perimeter, then made angular with a belt sander

Yes it is. Do you have an example of what you mean? I'm not sure I am following you 100%.

Let me know if you want it, I could find a way to get it to you. I spent 40 on it but after relisting on eBay a million times I want it out of my garage.
