You'd be surpised!  In decent condition it's not easy!  They've all be stripped and turned into "stunt bikes" or just beaten to all hell in general because someone bought them for $1000, learned to do wheelies and WOT highway pulls then called it a day.

I guess that shouldn't be surprising, they've all been crashed 7x by now and the fairings are pricey = stunt bikes lol

But also I see a future for your bike..

I loved the Battle of the Baggers! Apparently they're hoping to have 4 races in 2021 and may be inviting other brands to compete as well.

My buddy with an Indian Scout and a whopping 320 miles of riding experience was quick to tell me how Indian smoked HD in the races as well 😄

  2. So a buddy of mine bought a VW GTI with a Golf "R" engine swapped in. Apparently he's having difficulty getting the car registered due to emissions reasons. Are there any low-key car friendly shops around for swapped vehicles and such?

Feel free to PM if you'd rather not be advertising such information...

I think we should start an annual wibimmers scramble this year. I would definitely be in for that. And if anyone around milwaukee just wants to golf I wouldnt be opposed to it

    +1 for WiBimmers scramble

  4. I'm terrible at golf, but I do enjoy doing the charity games my friends like to participate in. Whatever it's called where you take the best shot from each round is where it's at, so bad players like me aren't holding the team back.

I'm running a set of those exact tires on my 128, it's my daily so it doesn't get the crap pounded out of it, but when I do lean into the corners hard I've been pleased.
They have quite a bit of grip, have good feel / breakaway characteristic, and seem to be doing okay on tread wear (though a bit early to tell).
For the price I figured it was worth a shot.

Heck yes, I'll give these a try then.

You're getting black and round.  Federal isn't the worst out there by any means but it's not what I'd buy unless I planned on burning them off.  There's actually a ton of options in that size due to the popularity of big skinny rims nowadays so if it's a choice driven by a lack of options I'd encourage you to look further.  If it's price motivated then these will scratch that itch.

Thought process is that my current tires are nearing the end of their lives, I want to do a track day at Blackhawk in a couple months and will want newer tires for that, and I want to try a larger size on my already low-ish car without committing long term. I think I'll do it, #THANKS

    Damn, nice garage

I'd be worried about jack stands on rubber tiles not sitting very flat or slicing into them

That's a good point... I'm not doing much labor on cars nowadays, no more project cars at the moment.

I have considered leaving the 3rd stall without the tiles as it's where I park my motorcycles anyway. That could be my designated work area too should I need it.

  8. Anyone planning on attending a track day this year at Blackhawk Farms?

Right now I'm tentatively planning on the 8/12/20 session. 250 Dollhairs. Maybe some tracky boi insurance. Maybe some PBR after. Who knows, we're all adults, maybe see where the night takes us 😜

I've never done an automotive track day, only motorcycle days. I also crashed hard and fucked up my shoulder. And I'll be driving an automatic Alfa assuming it's not broken by then.

It looks like a new garage correct? Have you looked into having the concrete polished and sealed instead? It doesn't look as fancy but it won't scratch off.

Newish, built last November but only been used since April.  I have not looked into that, I'll add that to my research though!

I am currently in the same boat as you. I looked into professional epoxy jobs for my 2.5 car garage and its around $2500-$3000. I then found GarageDeck interlocking tiles from bigfloors.com. To do the same floor would be $1050 shipped to my door and my labor to install is obviously free. Leaning towards the tiles myself. I'd also rather have solid tiles rather then the Swisstracks open tiles too in case there is a oil or gas spill. Easier cleanup with solid tiles.

That does seem like it'd be a lot cheaper than the stuff I was looking at, and the easy install is a big plus... And cool color options/design change.

    So many options...
