Anyone have experience with rebuilding the mechanisms on e30 sport seats and would like to practice more on my seats? Bassboy3313 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2016 Some of the adjustments don't really do their job anymore and the sliders are a little crusty. Don't think they need any Welding tho. Not 100% since I haven't really looked too closely at it. May be easier to just swap over the complete mechanism from the donor seats to the ones I'm using. Not worth the effort IMO. The sliders are the least of my worries. I've gotten then to move fairly easily after cleaning them up and applying grease, working it back n forth. I would gladly help, but want to tinker with my own first, as i have only done minor repairs before and wouldnt want to ruin yours. I probably will pull mine out in the spring.
