e36 m3 stalling, help!

m42b32

Question

Hi all,

My '99 m3 developed a problem on the way home today, when I let off the gas to come to a stop the car dies. I can restart it easily and it will idle just fine, but the minute I touch the gas it will bog and, if I dont stall it, it is extremely sluggish until I get to around 2000rpm. It seems to be fine above there. It throws a check engine light every once in a while when it stalls but it goes away as soon as I start it again. I also noticed that it bucks a bit if I'm cruising around 2k rpm.

Any things to check/advice would be appreciated

I have a good intake boot from my m roadster laying around if you're in a pinch. I just deleted the traction control stuff (which you should do). Just order an intake boot from a car without asc.

I used a bunch of tape and was able to seal it back up enough to get to work in the morning, I'm about to order a new boot and completely forgot about the ASC delete, I was planning on doing it eventually, thanks for reminding me!
