From what I have heard, the only way to keep the fumes out is to go through NASA for one of their suits. Ive heard too many horror stories to risk trying that type of welding. Good luck, post pics. 0 B C
I talked to some of the welders at work about how to remove welding fumes, looks like I need to buy one of these suckers http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ROBOVENT-Portable-Fume-Extractor-5YAJ2?gclid=COrmluDnp7cCFegWMgodUXcAyQ&cm_mmc=PPC:GooglePLA-_-Welding-_-Electric%20Welding-_-5YAJ2&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=5YAJ2&ef_id=UZt5FAAABChygmcy:20130521181905:s

Ive never tried one personally, but it seems pretty full proof. My only concern is if the cone is over your mouth, what protects your eyes from the fumes?! 0 StewCrew
great observation. im gonna ask the guys at work again. Let me know what they say. This might end up being a cheaper route than a suit from NASA!

0 B C
yeah, call us when you decide to man up and start fabricating stuff.
0 deek10sn
I say for the limited exposure, don't worry about the fumes. Ive been welding for a long time (15+ year) and am only 1/3 retarded. If you are fabbing car parts you should be using mig(wire) oe tig, much cleaner. If you need any help let me know!Derek
