Dont forget offset control arm bushings. They increase dynamic camber change

Those will also probably be in the cards eventually, but if I do the CABs I’m gonna refresh the entire front end, and I really don’t know if I have the time/energy/funds to do that this summer. I guess we’ll see haha.

I have a set on my car. I like them, though I haven't driven my car without them installed to compare. Only downsides I've seen is that they will raise the front of the car by the thickness of the plate, and you likely won't be able to run e90 drop hats if you use them. Not sure what brand mine are as I got them with my suspension, but they're likely all pretty similar. They don't add a ton of camber, maybe around 1 degree, since you are limited by the diameter of the stock springs. If you can get a set fairly inexpensively, I'd say go for it.

Gotcha. Yeah I’m gonna try to find some used if I can, although ill still probably pick up a set if I can’t. It looks like they’re around $130 at most places, and I can get up to around 1.25 degrees at most.

  3. Anyone have experience with fixed camber plates on e30’s? I’d like to make the car handle a little better for next summer and minimize the extra wear I’m getting on the outside edge of the stickier tires I put on. Basically, anything to look out for, any good brands, advice?

That's what I was concerned about too. I don't want it to come out ugly I did find similar stuff on Amazon for half the price, so I may jut pick it up and see. It may be a decent temporary fix while I look for genuine.

It's tough to hunt down used parts for verts and the guys working at junk yards are less than helpful over the phone.  I called my local yard and they told me they didn't have any BMW's in that age range only for me to go out there and find 5, 1 being a vert.

Yeah, if you can get it cheap enough it might be worth a shot. I’ll keep an eye out for you too, if I find anything I’ll let you know.

  5. I would head to a junkyard and pick up some used stock molding. If you don't have a junkyard near you with the parts you need, I'd look around for people parting out verts on craigslist or local forums/facebook groups and pick some up that way. It'll definitely be cheaper than buying the new stuff, and it's gonna look better than that stick on stuff. I'd also go online and buy new clips for it too to ensure that the new stuff doesn't come flying off on the highway after a week or something.

Edit: My bad, I didn't see where you mentioned not being able to find used parts. That's tough then, if it was me I'd probably just keep hunting for used trim. I think you're probably not gonna like the way that stick on stuff comes out and I kinda doubt it'll last, $65 seems like a lot for what that is.

  6. I'm interested to see how high this one goes. Not bad right now at 30k, but it's still got 20 hours to go. I wouldn't think that it'd be too hard to get it back to the states considering it was registered here at one point, but what do I know. Looks clean though (as it should be w/ only 53k miles),  I can't see much of anything other than the seats that isn't really good.

So I cam down with appendicitis earlier this week and fortunately I was stuck in the great city of Gary, IN when I needed surgery... Tried reading the forums but I'm gonna bust my stitches open if I continue so if you guys need me for an emergency or something just PM or Text me. I've made a lot of progress since getting home last night so hoping I'll be mostly functional by the end of the weekend.

    Agreed, glad you’re okay!

What does the e46 zhp rack solve that the z3 doesn’t?

also what rates did you go with?!

I believe the zhp rack is nearly as quick as the the z3 but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and is easier to find. They also came in some non zhp e46s as well. If I end up replacing the rack in my car when I do the lines this year, it’s probably what I’m going to get.

  9. Can’t comment on the ATE calipers, but I bought rebuilt rear girling calipers from centric last year after snapping a bleed screw and I have nothing bad to say about them, they seem to be pretty good value for the money. If you care about how they look, make sure to get paint on them ASAP, they start to get surface rust pretty quickly.
