I did some sway bar fitting tonight.
Where do i connect the links?Control arm as in e30 or strut tubes as in e36m3? Any pros or cones to either setup?

    Helmut

id go for strut tube. I’ve ran both setups. When I was setup to control arm, I would bend the adjustable endlinks, they would bind, the bar wasn’t in a great position either because the adjustable endlinks were so short.

Currently I’m mounted to strut tube, way more adjustment to get the bar in a better spot, links don’t bind, etc

A little update to this thing, Car didn't get driven last summer as I had my M roadster to drive. Took that time to replace inner and outer tie-rod ends. Control arms etc.

After that job the car died in a parking lot and I had to bump start it to drive home. Guy screamed "A dead BMW, that looks expensive" Yeah dude, thanks for your input.....

So anyways I parked it in my shop and it sat all winter because it was too cold to work on it. My starter had been acting funky so I assumed that was the problem, Turns out it was actually a ground that I messed with while doing the control arms.. Go figure but it was due for a starter replacement anyways. Did injector O rings as well.

Now I am tracing a slight misfire, but while I am doing that I just got done doing the valve cover gasket (Started leaking on the headers after sitting all winter) and It was time to put in a set of NGK iridium spark plugs aswell. Slightly hoping the VC/Sparkplug combo will fix the slight misfire but knowing my luck its probably a vacuum line all the way under the intake manifold that I will have to pull again.

I still love this car although its starting to get a bit crusty. Been pretty problem free, Get in and drive as E36s are bulletproof. Its going to be downgraded to the Winter Daily soon.

with an LSD they make  really fun winter daily. (ice racing time!)

If you and Brooke want to go, Let me know. Myself, Jake and Sam are going to grab an airbnb and split it.. For Friday night and Saturday night. We can purposely get a bigger place if you guys want to come along.

We wouldn’t be staying overnight. Thanks for the offer though

What's amazing to me is it looks slow.  It's not dramatic in the least, just effortless all the way through.  I think that's a testament to the amount of wheel time you have, nice job!

    Thanks PB1!
Autox always looks slow lol. It’s so boring to watch.

Tredware is a number made up by the manufacturer that's only relative to other tires by that manufacturer.  I'm not expecting extreme grip but the reviews I've read place it pretty high up there as far as grip goes compared to other UHP A/S tires and even some Max Performance summers.  If it gets me around a track without dying a couple times a year it's done it's job. I'm looking forward to more wet road confidence!

Understand the tw # issue, but what else am I supposed to base an assumption on lol
