Hey Wojtek! Good to see you on here.

Thanks! I'd love any recommendations on experiences with various E9x suspension options. I'm considering going with the m3 control arms and other linkages while replacing things. Not so sure about shocks and struts at this point. Possibly just new sport units.

I've been longing for a diffferent daily driver, and had been weighing different options. Ultimately, as a good balance between comfort, handling, reliability and cost of ownership, I decided I wanted an E90 330i with the six speed manual, and sport package. Luckily, one popped up a few minutes away so I took it for a drive and decided it was indeed the car I was looking for, so I bought it.
I wont go too crazy with modifications or anything (another reason for going with the 330i as opposed to the 335i slippery-slope-mobile). I do plan to refresh some suspension bits and do a little preventative maintenance. So far I am very very happy with the car. It's exceeding my expectations.

Hope you used submersible fuel line, not just fuel injection hose, or you'll have that problem again.

I checked that car out. Interior is pretty good. Rust on front edge of hood, rockers, rear fender lips, and underneath the trunk. Looking in the engine, it looks like there's been some subpar work done in there--bypassing the heater core with Menards elbows, etc.
Could be decent for the price, but I'd expect quite a bit of nickle and diming due to neglect once someone gets it running.

I was debating going... not sure.

I checked out that e21 today. The shell is complete garbage. Way too far gone.

A small pick is a must for replacing those o-rings. Definitely a good tool to keep around.

Great work. The car is looking fantastic.

That is so incredibly badass.

The 20cf tank doesn't last very long. It lasted for welding up all my of charge piping and my downpipe. I would recommend getting a larger bottle.

Whats a ballpark price for the tank and fill there by chance?
Cost for tiny tank full of argon was $90. A fill for that tiny tank is ~$20-25. A fill for a big tank is ~$36 IIRC.

I got my tank at Advanced Welding Supply in West Allis. They are great!
Also, my brother and I just bought an Everlast PowerTIG 185 and the "deluxe" pedal for it. So far it has been great.

Just remember to replace those shear bolts with some weaker hardware (grade 8.8 or so). Typically those bolts are designed to shear in a significant collision.

Oh that is awesome. I really want that!

I was standing outside during your runs. It sounded like a bomb went off... I fully expected to walk inside and find a bunch of people with bits of connecting rod embedded in their faces.

I'll be there, but my only remaining BMW is currently unregistered (because emissions) so I might just show up with a bunch of BMW running gear bolted to another car.
