Am I the only one wondering how you're going to get the metal chips out of the pan? Wouldn't have been more convenient to do this while the subframe was out for spacer installation?

Hey now, a few metal flakes never blew up an engine. I doubt it would suck any up and when it does the pump might blow but if not the filter will get um

Looks like its legit. Plenty of people are saying its to far but I think he found a buyer. If he didnt find a buyer Chelsea DeNofa (Well known E36 drifter) said for him to send him an invoice.

Well I think it would be better for the car to be driven then smashed for all the time put into it. Say you have cash in hand and will be there tomorrow. Ill pm my number

Is this legit? I don't Facebook, I will go buy it tomorrow if someone rides with.

  4. Yes the newest download is on romraider which for whatever reason it won't let me log on and the admin won't respond to my emails. I have some of the definitions.

I don't know if I would be able to get anything of of the DME because big name tuning companies lock them or whatever. So Joe Shmoe, no pun intended, can't steal their tune.

  5. Mercedes is the path less traveled when it comes to stuff like that, or if somebody figured it out they make you pay instead of sharing the information for the greater good.

I am just going to buy a reman unit. There would be too much RnD.

With the warmer temps I want the car ready sooner than later.

    Hey All,

I picked up a stock cassette deck for my E30 online.  I have yet to get it installed, but from everything I find online I need to have a code to unlock the radio.  I called the dealership and they were less than helpful.  All I have is a SN (F90555980C) from a metal plate on the radio.

If anybody could provide insight on where I can hunt down a code it would be much appreciated.

Just bring a title for a bmw when you go, they can do it with just the serial number

I can burn eproms if you have files. Outside of that all I can do is give it a good visual inspection under a microscope.

What's the actual problem? If this is the one that had the power hooked up backwards there could be a lot of f'ed up stuff on there...

Can you pull the info off of them?

There is two 8 prong proms that are for the immobilizer. It won't let the throttle body operate.

  8. This is for my mercedes the ecu is bad but want to explore other options before I pull the trigger on a $1100 ecu.

There is companies claiming to rebuild them so basically a reman unit. The $1100 is for a reman a new one is $2400

If you hold 3k idle for 2-3mins the lifters should bleed. If not. Rinse and repeat

Agreed had to do it last year and this year also had some ticking the other day when I started it.
