A couple years ago I replaced the SI Batteries and cleaned/tightened/re-flowed solder on the gauges. I dont think the battery replacement did anything and that perhaps the SI board itself is bad. As long as my speedometer, tach, and gas gauge work im fine although I need to re-fix the odometer gears. I need to swap in a spare odometer because I think the motor on mine may be burned out.

    Gameplan:
Finish connecting the VDO temp gauge

Run a manual over-ride switch to the fan for actual emergencies

Go for a proper shakedown run.

If everything checks out I will drive it to work tomorrow. (30-40 min with stop and go traffic)

Next items on the never-ending list:

    -oil dipstick tube mounting bracket

-Shim drivers side engine mount for better booster clearance

-Some ride height leveling with spring pads

    -Alignment

    -New brakes

-Wire fog lights (still need to find some connectors)

    -Install HIDs

    - 'is' rear spoiler

    -Fix odometer

    -Oil distribution block

    -New steering wheel

-New front sway bar links (AFAIK they are original, I should have changed them out when I did the sway bars)

    You can do it

Shoot! I actually had the guys at my shop pick some supercharger oil up for me, I completely forgot about that..

As for 100mph, not really, I've had it up to 90 a couple times but I don't see why I'd need to exceed 100.

No big deal it's not expensive I just have it sitting around, it's a cool can anyway.

if you don't have a tire with the right speed rating just keep that I mind, your car doesn't know if you have a different speed rated tire on it.

  3. Do you plan on driving your car over 100mph. I've gone 100+ on Q rated general arctic tires but that's just confirming how great they are.

Im in the Waukesha area. Just shoot me a pm if you want that oil. I also go to Appleton and Madison once a month

quoting this be cause it was exactly what I was going to post.

I helped him take the hood off so I should get a discount or something. If I recall it had an issue but, the car is a dumpster fire at this point.

Man that's a bummer, at least your windshield is fine!

@wasnt m3 do you still have the hood from the sedan you're parting?

It has a crack in it but not the full on windshield smash, my impromptu wiper install that is not clocked properly saved it.

  6. I have a pt test for my part time gig and I have a little different test first 40 push-ups in 2 minutes then 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes finally 2 miles in 16min 30sec. They do change it for age group and also for females "due to sociological differences."

last year I ran it in a little over 13 min, I was 21 so idk if it counts.

  7. https://madison.craigslist.org/ctd/d/2007-mercedes-benz-ml63-amg/6557833244.html who needs a supercharger?

my cousin owns a Range Rover very similar to year and mileage above. He does everything himself. Hasn't really had major issues, or crazy costs.

the Range Rover falls into the category of "well that's really expensive too fix" and yeah it a good 4x4 but someone would rather have a good old American jeep for the price. There is an enthusiast group but not large enough to create a price premium, like a bmw.

I agree with certain parts will have a high price.
