  1. Looks awesome if it doesn't have the issues of ethanol. Sent from my potato phone

Sounds too good to be true. All alternative fuel sources have their own "skeleton in the closet". Ethanol the govt subsidized beast, what a fail... not to mention raising the price of corn, which raises the price on pretty much everything else (meat, anything containing corn syrup, etc etc ).

Electric cars are great, I'd love to own a Tesla. But where'd the electricity come from? More than likely, a coal plant.

They need to bring nuclear plants back. Far safer than tree huggers claim them to be.

I'm sure e-benzin has a skeleton or two.

  2. Are there any rules against posting things for sale? I have a 12 gauge that I bought for shooting clays. Haven't been out in a few years and I'm not really worried about the zombie apocalypse, so I wouldn't mind getting rid of it.

    What brand/model?

  3. Saw someone Northbound on 41, just north of the West Bend exit (66) in a maroon (burgundrot?) e92.

    SWEET color.

I was on my way down for Easter in Brown Deer, coming from Green Bay at about 2:30pm. Had just picked up rotors from bobdudeman1988 in Fond du Lac.

  4. I'm old, married, have one 9 year old daughter. Some of you could be my sons (?)

I love beer, whiskey and scotch. Yes scotch (told ya I was old). Trapshooting on Wednesday nights is bound to be the death of me, but that's another topic in itself.

I grew up in Grafton, lived in Colorado from age 15-17, then graduated from Grafton HS. Been living in Green Bay last 20 years.

I'm a Chemical Engineer from UW Madison. Worked 5 years in the industry, then moved to FedEx, where I've been working as a computer/automation/programming/troubleshooting/training consultant for almost 15 years.

I drive my BMW a lot. See my signature. I like to DIY as much as possible. For the rest, bobdudeman is an invaluable help.

  5. I'm agreeing with CYoung. I don't know you guys like you apparently know each other, but you seem like good guys. I'd hate to see y'all get in a legal battle over some numbskull who wants to steal a logo for a website... it's just not worth it really... But you should probably make it a private discussion, since any person (like myself) can read this. Might not be good for your legal case, if it comes to that...

  6. I was shocked this week to hear that French police have guns. Well good for them taking out those terrorist cowards. I only wish those Muslim Extremists would fight straight up, we'd mop the floor with them!

Bring it on, you scumbags! BTW, I'm still very disappointed in our government response. Too politically correct to call it what it is... surprised they didn't label it "workplace violence" (like they did at Fort Hood). After all, the first 10 killed at the CH publisher were at work.

The show of unity of millions of people in Paris is compelling... but is it what the terrorists wanted to happen? See, they win no matter what. The media continues to feed this machine. The fact that security measures in airports are ridiculous is testament to this. You are so much more likely to be killed in a car accident or struck by lightning than killed by terrorism, especially on a plane. We spend way too much money on ineffectual security measures. Result is, the terrorists win again...

Vigilance is how we defeat it, and trying to understand this maniac extremism. They want to fight like cowards. We have to call them out as such. How dishonorable they are. If the Extremists followed their own LAW, they shall all kill themselves.

  7. Anybody here have an AR15?

    How many do you need?

I'm looking at something for concealed carry.  XDS .45 is looking pretty sexy.

I carry a Kahr CW45 (.45 acp). I'm quite proficient with it, conceals very easily and it's light. It's NOT comfortable to shoot a lot of rounds through, but when (if) I need to use it in a real life situation, I don't think that will matter one bit. The reason it is uncomfortable is the grip bites into the palm of your hand, but that fact adds to the controllability of it and thus my accuracy with it. I carry with either my Remora holster or my Crossbreed supertuck.

Good to see some other gun dudes here!

I'm thinking of picking up a PSA AR 15, right now the complete package is $499 and it looks to be a good starter kit. Or, I could go buy a higher end gun in a store locally but spend an additional $100-150. However, it seems like there's not much difference between the PSA vs the $700 guns. It doesn't have a forward assist or dust cover, but I'm not sure how important either of those really are, I'm not a rifle guy....

Like some things in life, ARs are one where you get what you pay for. The best deal I've found for the money is a Ruger SR-556 Carbine. That's my current AR-15. It has a lot of features for the price, and damn reliable. It's piston driven, and the best part is, the orifice has 4 settings: big, medium, small and off. Off makes it into a single-shot rifle. You use the others to cycle the weapon reliably depending on the ammo you are currently running.

I sold my Panther Arms "Sportacle" for about 30% more than I paid after Sandy Hook. It was damn unreliable... Lowers may all have the same design, but they are not all created equal.

Then bought my Ruger at a very reasonable price after the dust settled. Don't go cheap on an AR-15. You'll likely regret it...

  8. Yesterday, bobdudeman1988 replaced my rotors and pads on my 2011 335xi at 104,000 miles. We put on Zimmerman rotors and textar pads from Mueller Motorwerks in Kohler.

I should be good for another 100k miles... Or in my case, 2 years LOL.

Altogether with Bob labor, cost $650.

Bob is highly recommended by me and other customers of his. He's watching my car closely as it's the newest model year he services, and the highest mileage... and counting.

If you live anywhere near Fond du Lac, Bob is your mechanic guy. Very reasonable, great part prices and knows what he's doing. Heck, I live in Green Bay, and his service is well worth the hour drive.

    :D

Feel free to PM me or Bob if you want more info.
