  1. 22mm? Like 0.86 Caliber? Holy cannon!

Was it tripod mounted? LOL just givin you shit, glad no one got hurt! I've been harassed by gangs before - the Old Denny's on Brown Deer Road, across from what used to be North Ridge Mall... I'd love to come back and kick those suckers asses, but better off just walking or driving away...

When i've run into this I either unplug the sensor or cut the wire.  This is more frustrating to me when i'm trying to install a sensor.  Then I'll either keep it unplugged or preload the wires so they are unloading in the direction I want to turn the sensor.

I thought I invented the preload trick!!!

In a truly circular universe where time is a complete continuum and one could take a shortcut through said continuum, we would all in fact know about the pre-load loading theory. However, Pat and Snap are clearly from the future, and much wiser than any of us mere mortals. Just kidding of course, we all know that Al Gore invented the preload trick. Afterall, he invented the Internet. One smart cookie.

To my knowledge the N52b30 is pretty stout.  I am pretty sure that does use the electric water pump which is a known failure but you don't necessarily replace that as preventative maintenance.

Not as preventative maint, but I might suggest buying a spare of said water pump, and keeping it in the original box in the trunk. Look at ecstuning.com, print it out and then go to the BMW dealership and ask them to match the price.

  4. Very nice. Yesterday I found myself watching YouTube videos and reading reviews on X1. The second generation 2015(?) or 2016 can be bought for around $24k used. Seems they depreciate very quickly. Which is good for guys like me who never buy brand new.

Makes sense. As long as you're not gassing yourself out, can still hear the stereo, not throwing codes, or attracting unwanted LEO attention just save the $$ and wait for the system you want. Figure winter is going to be cruel to your exhaust anyway might as well complete the rust rot this season and start clean in the spring.

Now you're thinking! Why let your new exhaust be exposed to salty water spray. Go for spring!

Picked up another compact last night=) Have wanted to find a chassis for a while and none were popping up that were worth what they were asking. I happened to find this one right when it was posted and hopped on it. The good news is Mike will be getting a perfect set of interior for his compact=P I also have a set of Bridgestone Potenzas and a set of General Altimax that I won't be needing. They're both almost new in appearance. I have to check the dates on them to see how old they are.

    Pics?

It blows my mind how many car dealers are selling cars and they don't have a fucking clue what they are selling nor do they have the wherewithal to do some kind of research before posting a description of the car.

Sometimes, one can use this to ones advantage. With dealerships, I have no qualm taking advantage of their ignorance. Look how they screw people with trade-ins! I think of it as karma coming back for a visit.
