I order from Blunt as well, definitely great service from Stephen. Sometimes the fast turnaround times, easy information and free shipping on orders over a certain small amount wins out. Plus I'm on a direct route from Ohio, where you are probably on a direct route from Minneapolis. Geography makes a big difference too!

I can't be the only one that uses ECS for pictures and then buys the parts elsewhere?

ECS is a great source. I do both. Their shipping is also cheap and super quick from Ohio to Chicago. They also run Turner Motorsport's warehouse load now, so you're getting the same stuff FYI. Sometimes their prices differ which is nice!

    Modbargains has a sale too

  3. Windy City BMW's annual Vintage Fest is coming up September 18th. They normally have an awesome showing of 2002's and e30's as well as modern, etc. Registration to show ends September 11th, otherwise I'm sure it will be a good show to view as well. Rob Siegel, 'The Hack Mechanic' will be there. Also, it's right off the expressway and before you really hit Chicago gridlock traffic which is nice. Here's the details and check out the website http://www.windycitybmw.com/Vintageregister.aspx:

    Date: Sunday, September 18th, 2016

Location: ZF Services of North America

    Time: 10am until 1:00pm

Address: 777 Hickory Hill Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061

  4. Haha! Dealt with. Got a fresh new name now. I do design visualization, and my name is Ian, so now, like other sites, I am visian. I normally do the same - wait for the snow to disappear and watch for the salt coating on roads to thin out. I think this year I may just wait for the snow to disappear and then make sure to keep it clean. I want an early start this year (as it continues to snow outside...)
