tsweers89
I am wanting to start a site like this but not for cars. For another hobby of mine. Was wanting some in site on how you went about starting/designing it and how much it costs, etc. It would be pretty much the same layout. YoungCR
It depends on how nice of a site you wanna run. If you wanna run vBulletin (the software this forum uses) prices start at $200 for a license. I prefer IP.Board which starts at $175. There are plenty of free forum softwares out there such as PHPBB and Simple Machines Forum. It all depends on how much you wanna spend. For my personal website I use Just Host which has a great package for $3.75 a month which gives you unlimited space and bandwidth which is nice. I've used PHPBB before, Pretty nice. vBulletin is nice, if you're lazy about set up. Their defaults are rock solid. Also, what other hobby? I have tons of hobbies.
