Yea, I've been dealing with Brian and so far so good he has been extremely helpful. Figured I wanted to try and stay away from those dealership labor prices for some suspension work
-
So I had an emergency come up Monday and had to take my car into Milwaukee Motorwerks. I looked at reviews and found the few posts on here and everyone seemed pleased with the service with the exception of one person. Anyone have more recent interactions with them? So far they seem to be taking good care of me.

Plus 1 on big bear, just got the quote form them for a lowered e90 bmw alignment at 79.95

went to MHD 2+ and I'm wondering what the 335 experts think?
-
Yea I was going to see him but ended up going to see aziz last month. Joey, Rogan and theo von would be a perfect show

Has anyone been to anything at the Pabst Theater? I'm going to Joey Diaz on 4/20 after the Brewer game. It's like just sit wherever you can get once the door opens? How long should we be out front if we want decent seats?
Never been there but I'm pretty jealous I love Joey

Did you sign a full and final settlement? If not you can still challenge them through the DATCP. It's still wrong for them to charge you more than you were quoted. If they were getting in over their heads they should have called and gotten verbal authorization to charge more or ate the cost and learned a $200 lesson. Communication is key in that situation and they blew it.
Yea I signed the final statement after we settled on the price and I paid. What they told me is that they pulled the wrong book time and it was supposed to be ~5 hours not 1.5 and I'm not sure why they didn't call once they realized the job was bigger than thought. I won't go back or recommend people to there shop for whatever that is worth but at least it was done correctly and I won't have to call them or go back for that reason.

You're in luck! I deal with this for a living! So if you signed for $195 then you owe $195 unless you verbally authorized more. The catch would be knowing the exact wording in the line you signed and of it says something where you "agreed" to paying more within a percentage of the quoted price. Unfortunately unless they agree to allow you to pay less then you'll end up paying it then filing a complaint with the Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection which will take weeks.
Yea I didn't know the specifics so I went in and just talked to them without making an enemy and agreed to 300 flat. I'm still not happy about it being quoted one thing and then it doubling and eventually paying 50% more but I've learned through this experience and at least the install went smooth and was done well.
-
Yea, I'll be trying to come to an agreement but not double. I guess we shall see what happens but you're right. A happy customer brings more business
-
Yea I have a signed estimate I gave them and kept a copy of. Estimate was for 1.5 hours and they just told me I owe for 3
-
Anybody on here familiar with laws regarding auto repair estimates? I was quoted 1.5 hours (195 dollar) and they just called after finishing the job to let me know its 432 dollars now and the car is ready for pickup

That's a pretty decent price IMO!
Yea im happy with it. I called a handful of places and they were all 550-700 which is ridiculous I think. I was about to do it on jackstands over a weekend and just struggle with it until I gave them a call
-
I'm Xi n55 so only 1 downpipe but they quoted me 200.
I'll give an update after it's done but I dont think they will have any issues. I've seen a lot of their work and it's always top notch

I actually am having mine done Wednesday by quantum in cedarburg. I dont have the tools either so I had to suffer and pay for them to do it
Also, just noticed you posted this awhile ago so maybe you did it already.

Anyone dare to use xdelete yet for their e9x?
-
sounds like they will at least attempt to live on with a new owner
-
Well the 2011 e92 is a N55 unless it's a 335is? might be a contributing factor to the reliability

I could do march 2nd or 9th

I used Delphi on my n54 in desperation and had issues and immediately went back to Bosch. The Bosch cp's have a lifetime warranty as of 2017-ish so no reason to buy anything else as far as i'm concerned.
Yea I've seen that more than once now. Went with bosch's
-
Anybody have input on bosch vs delphi ignition coils? I ordered delphi but am questioning my decision

Good! Nice simple fix then. Fear, sounds about right for N5x ownership lol. Every time I floored it in my N54 I felt great joy and an overwhelming sense of fear of what may break this time and I've since felt that way in other n5x cars. Great fun when they run!
Yea, I'm learning the fear fairly quick but I love the car. I'm going to be focusing my time now on maintenance and fluids for peace of mind.
