I like the way the style 260's look on the e46. I don't think I've ever seen them on one before.

Thoughts on this sub-$10k e46 M3? http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/5734005911.html

from his ad: "I really dont have time to explain why my asking price is not like KBB o NADA"
which translates to
"i have unrealistic expectations and everyone knows it"
which is also why it has been for sale for probably a year now.
So did anybody email him yet asking why his price is not like KBB or NADA?

i've seen this car when driving and talked to the owner once at a stoplight in New Berlin. I recognize the smoked tails and stupid M badge on a white 135i. I wouldn't trust that anything is legit, not even the motor. The guy claims "it's just a shame that it was hit by a careless driver", when it is almost 100% certain that he rear-ended someone himself based on the damage. The lower half of the front bumper is in perfect condition practically, no dents or smashing, and all damage is sloping upwards on the hood, indicating that he slammed on the brakes and nose-dived into either a truck or SUV. The only other possibility was a head-on collision which would have done far more damage throughout the front end of the car.
Did I mention he said he can't afford to repair it? So you either have no insurance, or.....??? This is typical of where the N-series community is going. Just a bunch of broke ass 20-somethings who saw a quick 135i on youtube dusting some stupid WRX "Stage 2" Subro, and realized they can buy the 135i for $12,000 dollars with like 100k miles on it, and now think they own race cars but can't afford to maintain/repair/keep the car in proper condition. Go buy a Civic.
This seller is full of shit. And anyone who puts an M badge, black racing stripes, and a wing on a 135i should not be trusted as someone who "took care of the car".
Shitfuck. Through and through.
I didn't even notice that wing or M badge. Both are horrible.

When I first tried years ago to get an alignment on the e30 at the regular chain places they begged off saying BMWs were too complicated...no clue that the only thing you can adjust on a stock e30 is front toe.
If you're located east of Madison, and willing to drive to Okonomowoc the folks at Big Bear Tire or Lake Country Alignment do good work.
Yea, I've heard good things about them. I'll probably end up going there.

Low profile tires and wheel weights have nothing to do with alignments.
Are you looking for someone to mount/balance tires? Or throw your car on a rack?
No mounting or balancing is needed. That's why I don't understand why the two places I've gone to wouldn't do it.
-
Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop in the Madison area? I've gone to two places - one couldn't do it because my tires were too low profile (I'm not running 22's with rubber bands) and the other couldn't do it because they don't have the weights.

Looked out my window at work and saw another e30 yesterday on hwy 100, south of watertown plank rd. This one was white I believe.
I think we work really close to each other.

How about an e65 on big wheels?

Alright sweetbros, I have done the impossibru and found the last challenge of a bmw double parked.
BMW i3
"But its not double-parked!"
(Advance 1 frame)
What's this!?!?! A white e34 touring (No not the E-class wagon, look behind it) resides in the EXACT SAME SPOT the i3 was in the previous frame.
If THAT is not the definition of a bmw double parked then I dont know what is.
Next challenge: Find any bmw vert with the top down.

some grammar-lacking chumpstick wants 5k for an e34 m5 that has no motor, bad paint, and no m5 suspension..
I read that as the car being completely covered in black leather on the outside.

That's a great deal for a (maybe) free hair cut!
