There is no warning light .... It sucks
If this car is not under any kind of warranty with the dealer, bring it to Urban Motorworx for service and talk to Mat over there. He will be able to tell you what you need to check and how often to make sure this doesn't happen. I have had many discussions with him about this issue and highly recommend you doing the same.

I just run a pusher fan as well. My block was cleaned out and all my coolant parts were new when I did the engine so that has some to do with better cooling but the pusher fan does just fine to cool my car ... even at the track.
***Full disclosure, I do not have the AC condenser anymore and that may help as well.

Jeff, I may join you at that event. Still working it out.

I'm not sure why I would want a mic in my engine bay

Forgot the video camera at home but the car was really good. Was solo for the second half of the day.
Will try to remember video next time.

Leave a message and Mat will get back to you ... He is there solo today so he is probably yelling at a car and didn't hear the phone.
This is the place you want to take your car.

Rich .. try one of these from Napa. I used them on the e28 and they worked great. I also have parts for you at my shop.

It's a pain in the ass to be honest but the end result is worth it. The air dam itself isn't that expensive but getting the euro bumpers to go with it is. There is a pic somewhere on the Interwebs with a air dam like this and no bumper ... it actually looked pretty good.
Coilover track suspension

Can you guys with experience in the coilover department give me some more info on how exactly to choose a starting point on this stuff. People that run them on the track but all info is welcome.

Current - Spax springs with Billy sports and 22-front (set middle) / 16 rear (set stiff) sway bars. I have camber plates on the front but I am not able to get anywhere near the camber I need. I like this setup although it is a bit soft.
This has come up as I have some new wheels and tires I would like to run next year (see pic below) which will require more negative camber in the front.
The spring chart below shows popular aftermarket springs for the e28 (I currently run the Spax SSX).
I would like to go with a fairly aggressive coilover setup specifically for the track (the car gets very little street time). But, the car won't be trailered to the track all the time. I will need to be able to drive it to the track as well.
I would like to try to understand a starting point for spring rates and how that relates to the shocks (adjustability) as well as sway bars. I will be running race camber plates as well as strut braces.
Thanks !!
