  1. Thanks gents, wasn't too sure what feedback I would get. Seems a lot of people jump shit for putting a GM motor in these cars. I'm just looking for that reliable 400whp vs my old high strung m20 running 18psi just waiting for the headgasket to let loose.

Come on man, it's not *that* bad, especially with the new tune. You shoulda gone 2jz brah!

j/k, man, I just happened to see this thread come up in a search and created an account just to come in here and give you grief. That engine totally suits your car, I want to see a vid when you start it up!

Rob! Just finished almost all the wiring yesterday. I'll have to post up some pics it turned out pretty clean.

  2. Yeah before you know it you've spent 4K and still need another 1k in parts...but half the fun is making it work and figuring it out.

  3. Really cool build. Looks like a nice car too. There's actually a couple of us with GMW's around here.

  5. I've always been in EC. Only other person I can think of from menominie on here was Karl...(?) I can't remember. Think he had an m50 swapped e30 something or other

Yeah I don't recall either...I haven't been on the forums for a year or so.

  7. Yeah, actually, to make this more interesting. This is an air bag car and I found a way to use the original column. Well...I did have to do a little grinding and welding.

  8. Didn't bother with a full build thread, it's well documented. But if you have questions...shoot. Here's some random pictures. I'll post up some videos when it's running.

Looking forward to some meets near Eau Claire.

A little bit about the motor:

    LS1

    T56

    Spec stage 3 clutch

MS3 Cam with supporting dual valve springs, titanium retainers, push rods

    LS6 intake

  9. Not to sound ignorant but a dyno is really needed no matter what considering ignition timing is where you make power. I can tune a fuel map all day using my wideband have been for 5 years, but I need to see the torque curve. Especially since im running shi**y 91 fuel. Det cans were OK at best.

Snap I will be in touch I plan on sending some logs FWIW. Any e85 gurus in here?
