If he had the original motor it would be worth leaps and bounds more with the m50 back in. At this point the only benefit of an m50 would be an easy way to get it to run if basic trouble shooting doesn't work.

They got m51's in Canada so how does that make for rare parts? Lol Plus you have the VIN so you are allowed to order Euro only parts through BMW and get it usually within a week=)

Definitely get the OEM part. I've tried aftermarket ones and they fit terribly. Removing the entire manifold makes it a quick job

Not really anything to update for the most part. Some undercoat was removed last December-roughly February of this year. I assembled my passenger front seat for the last time the other day so now both seats have restored bases. 

 

The only big news is that there is about to be a severe lack of wrinkle black...

Assuming you want this for your m42? I did a lightened stock m20 single mass for my nice car and had to use an e21 323 throwout bearing I believe. It should all be in my build thread. Otherwise valeo and a few people make single mass setups that you could get lightened
