Wired up the city lights.
Thanks to Matt at the Appleton e30 meetup for pointing these out to me. I had never heard of them, or known that my car had them.

Actually...that article is flat out wrong for most BMWs when it comes to countering understeer. At least for an E36/46. You want more front suspension travel, more front roll stiffness and more negative camber. A well setup BMW will have very little to no rake. They will usually be close to level. This is to get the cross weights close to 50/50 and achieve more front suspension travel.
I'm not the only one who think this way. Turner campaigned some E46 325s which had a MASSIVE 40mm front sway bar and no rear sway bar.
This certainly seems to fly in the face of conventional wisdom. Not trying to nay-say but interested in learning more. Any more info on this? Sounds like a setup for someone whose more interested in putting power down coming out of the corner rather than carrying speed through the corner.

That Datsun looked awesome. Haven't seen that one before. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a 510 up here...

+1 on the west/south west part of the state. Pretty much any county road you get out on there is going to be awesome (just watch out for the horse and buggies). HWY 33 at wildcat mountain has a well deserved reputation. Short but probably the funnest road I've been on so far. Has one of only two switchbacks that I've found so far in this state.

+1 for Kettle Moraine. Ridge road and county S are good. I had a lot of fun just wandering around south of there.

County M near lake Poygan is fun if you're around here, but not worth the trip.
187 by Navarino is good but short and the pavement is a bit rough.
55 along the wolf river is really fun, but can have a lot of traffic depending on when you go.

That M6 got towed to us. The customer's description of the problem made it sound like a seized engine. Turned out to be a toasted starter. It'll be back on the road today. And it is a legit M6. A little on the rough side, but a true M6.
Wow, that's awesome.
On my way home from work at 11pm I see this car merge about 150ft in front of me. It's really wide and low looking and I'm like "That almost looks like a DeLorean..."

Saw another e21 in the park across from Scooters. They must have left before I made it over there to check it out though Anyone recognize it?
-
Can't seem to toss a dead cat without hitting one. Why they always parking by me? xD
Seriously though, how many of these things are there around here? Maybe it's time to start another board.
Sorry, if I was being Mr. Anti-Social at Scooters. Just my nature I guess. Was cool to meet some people and check out a ton of cool cars though.

that's a bummer. i really liked the show when it was on the east side. it was a great location for a bike show. plenty of shade and watering holes. guess i'm not suprised though. i have a lot of work i should be doing instead, but i'll probably check it out.

I'll be on 1st shift next week to get some training on a new machine my company just bought, so I'll bring the car out and get some BBQ.
Update: Training postponed until next week (the 11th), so won't be able to make it. Have a meeting to go to after work next week, so not sure if I'll be able to make it. Will try though.

A red 2002 just drove past my place on 8th St. in Menasha. Couldn't get my phone out fast enough. Exhaust was not stock

It's back! I'm sure some people will love it. Not my cup of tea though.

I think they are at least a litte different. The low end cars with the singles are probably different from the duals as well. I don't think the euro cars have side-markers either.
I took the parking light wire from the directions to power he city lights. I must have euro directionals as well because the only take a single filament bulb, but there are 3 wires at the connector.
My grill and lights are an aftermarket setup made by Hella, which I think was intended as an upgrade for cars with singles, so nothing quiete plugs in the way it's supposed to.
