Awesome video! Turned out really well

That's been on since the day I bought it haha. SRS light too=P
Wait, the SRS light can be off on an e34? Haha
-
Seems like it could be useful...
-
Haha only a small difference...

A few of the cell phone pics I got

I really hope someone got some good video/pics... My buddy with the Merc had his gopro capture only Dominick's face. Like 40 pictures of Dominick's face.
Well thats.... interesting....

Yes another 540 for the gang! We are starting a cult/gang/mafia, we haven't decided what it's going to be yet but something with V8s including the frankenstein e30
Our numbers are increasing! Welcome aboard!

Thats Beau's car. Frcefed on here

Yet another person from MSOE? Welcome! I will be graduating this May... hopefully...
-
Nah, needed head gaskets and I got carried away. I'll do a build thread soon hopefully, just haven't gotten around to it.

OE german exhaust systems be cray
Is this what Dominic did to his car as well? That car sounds glorious
Thanks Snap! I removed both "tanks", not just the dead end one

Outdoor storage mode with properly folded mirrors. And major wheel gap in the front due to no engine

Hahahahahaha My girlfriend left that and was telling me about it yesterday =)
Haha, I assumed that was the case. Nice work!

Well, it looks like Earl has a recruiter. My sister found this on her e34 last night. I couldn't help but laugh a little when she told me.
-
When's the 540 party? I might just have to do my exhaust mods before then.
Would I still be allowed with my 525?
-
This is exactly what you need (though I may be biased):

Its an awesome car that is really clean and has plenty of room in the back seat for your needs. Willing to negotiate somewhat on the price.

Here is the entire exhaust from headers back after the scuba tanks are removed. I made the cut directly after the rear axle when installed on the car.

Sounds like a plan!
Ps. Sorry for the thread jacking Zach

No m60 or m62 here
If I ever join you guys, I'll park far enough away so no one thinks I'm part of the group!!
Sorry, forgot the S62! You are welcome too of course.
-
Umm crap, I think it Grafton. Not 100% sure but it probably close to you guys and I'm willing to drive around especially if I just made my car all sexy sounding . I concur, m60/62 clan. Just need a catchy name because 540 gang was just so great then sticker design can happen at the party this winter.
That is very close to both of us, and actually where both Zach and I work. So there are plenty of places where we could meet and go for a drive. I will have to take the e34 though, which kind of defeats the purpose of a m60/62 clan meet haha. We will think of a sticker design I'm sure.

Can my bastard 340i join?
And yeah I think this will only fit a late model E39 or any one with the 4-1 manifolds.
I think we can open it up to any M60/62 engines. What do you think Ben? And you are correct, early model E39's like mine and Zach's have two 2-1 manifolds per side in place of a 4-1 manifold.
Well we can bring your exhaust over and cut it up just to get it done or you can come for the party I'm volunteering someone to have. My family friends live 45 mins north of Milwaukee so we can make this work quite well.
Still not completely set on the exhaust route I plan to take, but I can do the party! Out of curiosity, where is your friend's place?

I second an M5 rear bumper cover for true duals.
Simply cutting off the dead end donkey dick thing under the car should not hurt performance, but it is a major percentage of the total resonator volume, it will make it louder and possibly add a drone.
If it were me, I'd cut the entire stock resonator thing off, make custom dual exhaust from the Y back. I'd weld in two tuned resonators (magnaflow or similar) and hand two smaller mufflers in the rear (again, magnaflow or similar).
I've never looked underneath a 540, but can you run a passenger exhaust and keep the spare?
It may be possible, but I have not thought seriously enough about it to warrant giving it a try. If it is possible, I would imagine it could be rather difficult, and may hang down lower than the underside of the car.
I am just north of Milwaukee by about 40 miles (only about 15 from Zach), but my car is no where near ready to have an exhaust put on. It currently has the engine and tranny removed and half of the engine is apart with more to do.
I like the sticker idea though, definitely necessary.

.As far as the dual exhaust option, it would require cutting/modifying the spare tire tub, as there is no room for a pipe on the passenger side. I would stay away from that personally.
Or do dual pipes side by side like my 540 also, another person to join our 540 gang when we go to meets Dom!
I really need to do my exhaust too, I'm just cutting out my cats and stock resonator and putting a magnaflow resonator on. If you want Zach, we could team up and knock both of our cars out when I'm home in a week.
Woohoo, the gang is growing! (And yes, I think we can make the exception.)
I plan on doing a very similar exhaust setup once I get everything done and put back together.
