    Where'd you find it?

Wisconsin evo owners. Dude traded an evo motor swapped rwd mustang for it, drove to Texas for it, and then I traded my car for it before he even drove it lol. He's having his second kid now and needed something reasonable.

Did you just use the word "reliably" in reference to an Evo? We'll see.

Haha it relative. It technically is more reliable versus a shorter rod. This thing has like 1.8 rod ratio lol.

But i put 7k miles and 20+ launchs and 3 sets of tires thru my last evo(which had stock trans and t case) and it never broke a sweat. By far the most reliable car I've owned. It was also at 140k when I traded.

You should probably buy a shitbox Corolla to get you to work.

Still have lots of cars. 02 wrx wag, 91 s13, 4x e30's(2 running and driving ha) have my dually flat bed Isuzu.

But im not kidding. i bought an evo to drive every damn day and that's what it's gonna do. my drive to work is one of my favorite things, and this car will be made for that exactly.

    you keep telling yourself that.

Lmao. To clarify, it's using a 4g64 block with is 6+mm deck height, and larger bore. So, stock rods are 150mm, long rods are normally 156, and these are 162.

Ill be be shifting at 9500 or so, but I can reliably rev to 11k+ if I had a dog box and dry sump lol

  5. I honestly have only changed the oil and drove it around the block. Need an idle valve I'm getting this weekend. Then I'll street tune it on wastegate pressure, then bring it to the dyno for mbt tuning

Should easily clear 900whp on e85, but I'm shooting for 6-700whp daily.

  6. Haha it has an air filter now. It's fresh engine break in so I'm using 10-30 brad penn

Evolution dynamics ported head, 1mm stainless valves
    It's a 2.1 super long rod
    Manley crank
    Carillo rods

Everyone tell Ben to not worry about his surging idle and take the E to an ice rallycross this weekend.

    I'll take video.

Or he can come to my house and start taking parts off my extra ETA e30. I replaced the intake AFM IAC etc, as I had a surging idle before.

I love the hate on your tranny bracket over on r3v. I may want one of those... If you make more out one aside for me pleaze.

I have one if you need it. Only used to bolt up.

  9. I spent a lot of time in years past reading Super Street magazine, and have a deep love of all things JDM. I'd kill for an NSX, FD, MR2, or my dream car.... A Hakosuka.

I've also always had a thing for super clean EK hatches... If I ever find a clean unmolested one in white, I'll be hard pressed not to buy it.

Love me some super street... Currently sitting next to 40+ copies. Along with a ton of other modified mags

  10. Most of you guys chose cool cars. I thought the guilty pleasure thing was to choose something you like that's dumb, like Rowley and I did.

This. A lot of you just chose neat cars lol. I Was more hoping for cars that you secretly like yet don't tell your friends kind of thing haha. You would never see me with a Mitsubishi flag in my garage... But I couldn't help myself to buy one.

  11. My argument was simply, a 2jz swap it just absolutely retarded for 99.99999999999% of e30 owners as the m50 bolts in and makes WAY too much power on stock internals.

I know all about the links I posted.

Both of these examples are using STOCK m50 non vanos rods.

And e36 hater is using a complete 150K mile junkyard longblock, with a cut ring and arps... stock head revving to 7800 I believe. But he added vanos.

I believe he trapped over 135. I don't care what dyno its on. 135mph IS FAST.

  12. I figured this would be interesting. We all love bmw's, thats for sure. But are there any cars that you own, or want, that are non bmw?

Ill start. Always wanted one ever since I was a kid, I always loved the box looking flares, yet its a sedan that has all the practicality one would need. Very easy to work on, very affordable, and I can make it INCREDIBLY fast, and handle very well all in one package, yet drive it every single day (AWD).

  13. Spotted a nice silver e36 m3 heading north in appleton on the interstate yesterday on my way to school at 7am. You bastard didn't wave back. But I don't blame you because when is the last time you saw a guy in an evo wave at a dude in a bmw?

    Anyways nice car.
