e36t-yost
well currently after picking up the m54b30 rotating assembly any offer that i have the cash for would be an insult so i'd rather wait till i have enough cash to make a respectable offer..... also does anyone think i'd be able to reuse the piston rings they have 70k on them.... i was thinking i should just replace them cuz every things out, but if i burn them up i wouldn't feel bad tearing the motor down again... just trying to have the car driving with maybe 10lbs of boost by the time automation rolls around. one bearing on the crank isn't smooth like the rest so i'll be doing crank and rod bearings already...... jc43089
I would think you will want new rings, they seat to the cylinder walls during break in and this happened in a different block. Might have increased oil usage, no need to build it twice and pay for 2 sets of gaskets, head bolts, main cap bolts etc. Sent from my potato phone e36t-yost
e36t-yost
and as far as hg goes and head bolts I'm looking at going for a cut ring hg to run high boost psi, and arp head bolts. the stock ones would literally just break in half from what i plan on running long term in the end.
