  1. Hey guys,

First weekend of the month is this weekend!  That means the Lake Mills Cars and Coffee will be held on 8/6.  If you haven't been recently, it's grown considerably over the past few years and now routinely holds 400+ cars.  We have been meeting at the east side JCPenny's parking lot and cruising down with a group - some of the more modified guys drive down a bit more "spiritedly" but don't feel like you have to be aggressive, come to cruise, and have some fun with us.  We typically meet early and try to get out of JCPenny's between 7:15 and 7:30am.

So far it's my E60 M5, an F10 M5, a very modified 135I, GT-R, 911, Terminator Mustang, a blown Z06, and some mustangs/chargers with prochargers on them.  Fun group - who can make it?

  2. Hey guys,

It's about that time!  The first Lake Mills Cars and Coffee will be here on Sunday May 7th.  I'm getting some cars together, both BMW and non-BMW for a cruise from Madison to Lake Mills.  Last time we met at Wilde East Towne Honda, they are letting us use their lot again so it should work out great.

Who is interested in meeting up and heading down?  So far I believe we have my E60 M5, a GT-R, FR-S, 911,135i and a small handful of others.

  3. This was posted on the Madison Euro FB group.

"Cars and Coffee in Lake Mills this Sunday, anybody interested in caravanning over? Leave from the Panera Bread on the Eastside at 7:15-7:30am?"

Usually about the time I leave, we could drive as a group from SP to Panera then leave with those guys.

I didn't know about that group - I'm part of Madison Bimmers but I'll check it out.

I could just as easily make it over to East Panera at that time, it's literally a 5 min cruise from where I was originally thinking of making a meet/greet.

  4. Almost that time again - looking for a few cars to roll down with.  Cars and Coffee is fun but I find it better hearing everyone's rides on the Highway/seeing them in action.  I'll be headed down from Sun Prairie and looking to get to Lake Mills before 9am.  Anyone want to meet in the Madison/Sun Prairie area and cruise down?  I believe this is usually a better turnout for the September meet as they used to host the Concourse on the Green event - this event is no longer running but the turnout for this weekend never disappoints.  Lastly, October is the last meet I think.

Let me know who is cruising/wants to meet up.

  5. Are you guys all coming from the Madison area?  My group is leaving from the Sun Prairie Area right by the interstate (Reiner Road Exit) so if you're close let me know and we'll cruise up.  The big benefit of cruising up together is with a group of cars you typically get a better spot being all together.

  6. Hey is anyone going to this?  I'm on the fence about making the trip up there but might go if we get a good group together.

http://www.theofficialwcec.com/wcec-presents-lax-speedway-car-show/pre-registration-for-lax-speedway-car-show here is their official website for it

And they have a FB event page as well.  I found out about it by being a part of the "Wisconsin Car Enthusiast Group" on Facebook - there are tons of over-posts on it though so I may get out of the group.  Anyway here is the link for the FB event:

Let me know if anyone is interested, maybe we could get a meet going in Madison or in the Dells and then cruise up to lax from there?

  7. not gonna lie, i would definitely be interested in this. I have a ton of track photos already but for a long time now I've been trying to get photos of my car as follows:

    1) rolling shots on the freeway

    2) good individual backdrop in an industrial setting or something like it

Let's plan something for July! Days like today are perfect for shooting or with an overcast are always perfect for shooting.  If it's the E82 in your signature that color would be amazing in high-res

  8. Very nice!  Welcome!  It's a kayak version, but still cool.

Thank you! Sorry for the ignorance, what's a kayak version?

Now that I see your sig pic I remember meeting you at that C&C!  Chris (Cyoung) and I were there for a little bit before you guys went and got breakfast.  I had the TiAg e90 335i and Chris had his e30 there.

Oh yeah, I remember you guys! I think I've seen your 335 there once before but only met you in person this last time.

  9. Welcome to here! The color combo is only rivaled by alpine white and Imola red

Thank you!  I'm a sucker for Alpine White as well, hard to find though.

Welcome=) How do you like the m5 versus the e46 m3?

It's funny, I was just talking about this with a couple car friends.  The E46 M3 is the best all around car in my opinion.  It's fast, great looking, gas mileage is decent and gives you many thrills.  My E60 is insane on the highway but you can only enjoy it for a moment before reaching go-to-jail speeds.  I compared this to the E60 being 1 bite of the best steak you've ever eating, or the E46 being all of a really good one...

Welcome! I would've been at that Zimbrick meet Kyle and Brian threw together. Like the nice purchase, can't say I've seen a white e60 anything interior before

Edit: Saw in your photo thread your from SP. I live in Waunakee and work on my cars in Sun Prairie.

Nice!  Hopefully I can catch you at the next event or around SP.  We live in the new development area off of Reiner so kind of the new sun prairie area.

I plan to be at Cars and coffee this weekend if weather is good

Ahhh this weekend for CC we have plans for the 4th, but I'll be there next month for sure!  (Sounds so far away)

  10. Hey guys,

I live in Sun Prairie right off the interstate and for work we have tons of equipment as the company I own has a televised cooking show.  If any of you are ever looking for high-res shots of your car let me know and I'd be willing to meet you out.  I can provide video services also but not as easily as photo as it's more time consuming and requires more equipment.

If you have photoshop or similar to read RAW NEF files that's the easiest way, then you can manipulate all the elements of the photo yourself.  If you would rather I give you high res images that are post-production the turn around time would be longer as this is something that I would do in my spare time.

Let me know if you have any needs that I can help with.

No charge for enthusiasts, bring a beer if anything.

  11. Awesome car! Glad to have you here. Hope you find this to be a regular source of entertainment and fiercely-engaged tuning discussions

Thank you!  I appreciate the kind words.  If the crowd here is similar to that of E46fanatics I'm sure it'll be fun.  Looking forward to WI meet-ups!

  12. Hey guys, been active on E46 Fanatics and M3 Forum quite a bit (handle Brownmagic) but haven't done anything on this forum.  Sold my E46 M3, currently in the garage is an E83 X3, P38 Range Rover and E60 M5.

I've probably met a few of you here and there at some events, I think last year I came to to the burger event at Zimbrick and that prompted me to want to join this community.  Anyway, hoping to have more meet ups later - anyone go to the Lake Mills Cars and Coffee?

Here's the new-to-me M5:  It's actually Silver Gray but for whatever reason my camera brings out the blue and it looks more silverstone.

Silverstone II extended leather interior with Madiera Wood trim (sought this out specifically, it's my favorite combo)
