It would be hard to guess because that was my first, and with being very particular on my work....2 long weekends or so.

It would be tough to compete with the price of an cage that is mass produced. The above pics are 1.75 DOM
-
Also for anyone reading pic 1 is not how the cage sits, the front sub assembly is dropped through the floor for purpose of welding the cage 100%

Boris, it has not been certified for logbook. It my weekend warrior drift/hpde road america car. As the term of "my interpretation of the rules,". I made that statement because it has not been inspected but it was built to their spec. Maybe pursuit of more education on becoming a certified shop is the way to go. Thanks for your input!

I have been tossing around the idea of offering my services building roll cages beyond friend and family. My questions to wibimmers is
-is there a demand for custom bolt in 4pt or weld in 4/6+ cages?
-what is a good price point for said services?
My personal cage was built to my best interpretation of NASA/scca safety guidelines. Its just something I love to do! Here are a couple of quick pics during the fab. Please discuss!

Nice rides!!! Mine is fairly prepped but always looking for like minded individuals to chat cars with! And MMW are my guys! So helpful on all I do, may have to hit them up for suggestions as well.

Cool, what do you drive if you don't mind me asking? Have you ever track prepped and e36?

This turbo build is starting to sound like a pipe dream. I went full custom...best bet for is buy a used kit off bfc...start saving them nickles!!!

Where is this shop, Fond du lac native/ BMW junkie?

I use MMW for all my performance needs, and also a few dyno pulls! The guys there are true car/bmw enthusiests and are great to work with. Would love to thank Kyle, Kelly, Tom, Ray, Ryan and the rest of the crew for all the help they have given me over the years!
Kyle, plan an all BMW dyno day this spring?

I need someone (maybe you) to convince me that I should just go ahead and not look back. I already have the Megasuirt and wideband setup, It would be a stupid simple deal to just slap it on there and run a couple oil lines and change the tune. Honestly I just worry about heat, being able to do HPDEs reliably, and getting annoyed with lag.
I run hpde's with my turbo m3 (s50) and have had zero issues to speak of as far as heat soak and lag. At the end of a 20summer min sessions my water temp may reach 200 at most. Our cars are track beasts no matter how you ook at it, thats why BMW's populate most of the track events at RA, but now why not have the hp to run with the zo6's, gtr's, gt3's. Even if you are a great wrench it is not a 1 weekend job. Let me know if I can help!! And I did posts mods in the new member intro if you would like to take a look.
