Might need some brake caliper brackets made up depending on the eventual e30 brake setup. Also I need a floor drain cover machined right now to block off my shop drain.

That can be done! I'm starting off with just a CNC lathe, but plan on expanding to millwork shortly after. It mostly depends on what I can get for a machine loan.

I can spin you one up no problem Chris. The only problem is, earliest production is set to take place in June-July. So if you still need it then, we can talk.

Chad, will you be my aluminum and stainless go-to welderguy?.

As of now I am SS (303-312) capable/ready, but unfortunately I can't do aluminum. My machine is a dc only setup, I didn't have the funds for a miller synchrowave to do AC (aluminum) work.

That said, I have successfully welded exhaust pipe to a cast iron manifold, for an external wastegate. I did it for my DUALLY. So even though aluminum isn't an option, I am able to do other exotic combinations

  2. CHAD HAS DECIDED HES DOING COOL THINGS!!!

Come this summer, I plan on opening my own little fabrication/machining gig. Off the bat, I will be CNC turning capable (no motor work, sorry stroker boys...and Zack), and have Tig welding services available (if you're making piping and only have a hardwire machine type thing)

That said, I am looking to expand my horizon into ALL types of different markets. As you all know, I have the truck game figured out. And E36's too.

    BBBBBUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I want to know what kind of off-the-shelf products you guys would like to see. Frame reinforcement plates, custom thickness wheel spacers, anything you can think of. And if we come up with something here, I'd be more than willing to prototype the part on one of your guys' car.

Lets see how creative you love bugs are :)

  3. Well it went like this...

going 70mph on the freeway while it was pouring rain. Car was doing fine, all of the sudden it kicked out on side pretty good. Tried counter steering and letting off the throttle to catch it, but the car slung back the other way. To which I attemped to catch again, but it obviously did not work. Car slung back, then caught traction, and put me right in to the median. Hit median on 45* angle, then the back of the car rotated and smacked the side of the median. But because it happened so fast my wheel was still turned, and it caused me to spin out across the freeway. I landed facing the ditch, on the shoulder.

There is frame damage, and I cant bear to part it out... so its for sale as the ultimate parts car...

  4. Hey everyone. Quick update on the sloot...

Well its not called the sloot for nothing.

Blew a tire out today (brand new one mind you -__-) and left me stranded. Gots my trailer and got her home. Luckily I had 2 extra rears from when I got the fronts. Still...

By the way, I gots a set of euro tails for sale now! If anyones interested text me!

    JC, pictures?

Also, Snap I still want, I just kinda got busy with racing all my friends with diesels lol

  5. This can't be Chads thread because it would have pictures in it already=)

    Was waiting for this lol

I'll snap a few pics tomorrow if the forum shall demand...

Snap, when/where can we meet up? Just needs one hole, for my ICV. I can drill for the IAT sensor and silicone it in.

Got battery today. Noticed I have some serious rear camber issues on one side... Probably from when I snow drifted into the curb at 60 lol...

Maybe time for adjustable rear control arms? :)

  6. Making progress today.

Went up to Todd's place near Concours and got me some 225/45/17's and matching 245/40/17s. Extra rear tires... I need those :)

Got the tail lights sorted. And swiped some clear corners that are nicer than the ones I have.

1 Gallon of BMW Blue to burp the cooling system.

Tomorrow I have a new battery to pick up.

Then the last hurdle... The DMV... Yikes...

Snap that would be tits! How much??

And Chris, I will take my moderator title now pls :)

  7. Man have I missed drivin her.

    Did the typical after sitting...

    Changed oil

    Fresh gas

    Charged battery

Also, new rear rotors, old ones were seized up to the parking brake shoes

New rear tires (on the hunt for fronts - 225/45/17)

    Needs yet...

    Plates

A good coolant system bleed. No idea how but theres a big air bubble in the system.

A battery. Couldnt save the one in the car

Right rear tail light sockets are all screwed up. I think its just the wrong bulbs in the sockets.. need a diagram for what bulb goes where.

The intake boot ripped from drying out again. Currently electrical taped up but eventually will need replacement.

I'm excited to drive it again. The steering was night and day from the truck... and so was the ride.. the linear power was nice too... and the noise. mmmm m52 vanos...

  8. When I was picking my mkiii supra up from a shop after blowing the headgasket to go trade for the e21, I had to use long 2x6's so that the front bumper didn't get destroyed by the ramps. Where there's a will there's a way.

This is why I built 8' long ramps lol
