Its not as bad as it looks. I think I had my subframe dropped in about 3 hours (my first time doing it) and I have Xdrive. I think the whole turbo removal process took me about 4 for what its worth.

LOL FYI as well, more power is never the answer.. the lust for more never stops.. Good looking ride though man and looks like a fun build!

Not sure if you figured out your bluetooth or not, but FYI I was able to snag a cigarette lighter bluetooth module from bestbuy I plugged in via aux in my center console.. its completeley hidden and I have bluetooth music now. I think it was like $20, I could be wrong though.

Just throwing out a line to the community here that a family member of mine does powdercoating in the Kieler area (obviously you can ship stuff too). His oven is 6' high by 6' wide by 10' deep, so he can accommodate most parts and has been doing it for about 5 years.
IK he works a lot through facebook so i'll throw up that page link since it has all the appropriate contact information/ pics of his work..

Just doing him a solid, and throwing another option out there for larger parts/ wheels for everyone.

I finally got everything working and holy shit! It pulls forever!
I am interested to see the differences between the Procede and the JB4. I installed a JB4 on mine last spring and as JC43089 will tell you, it made a HUGE difference. Actually so much of a difference i'm going to start putting it under the knife this summer and see what she'll really do. The stock intercoolers suck beyond belief (I was logging 120+ IATs on 40-120 highway pulls at 70 deg) last fall, also planning the VRSF 7" upgrade.
Good to see more N54 guys on here!

Legit price on the blasting, it took me a while to do mine, but for that price i'd pay to have it done!

Which turbo is causing you the rattling issue? Mine is specifically the front. I took mine into Dubuque and Davenport BMW dealerships to try to get mine fixed (still all oem) and they turned their noses up at it. They were trying to "adjust" the wastegates (I could do this just as well), and charge me 16 hours shop time. Im going to go with either upgraded twins or big single.. not dealing with it anymore..

Competition bass? Do you have any current builds going on?
Yes, I am currently building my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Build is 4 18" Crossfire SPLv2s in a 4th order wall. Its my first wall, so I hope it turns out well. Amps are not yet purchased but I will probably run 4 Taramps HD8000s, with a couple big Juicebox LiFePo4 batteries.
Pics of subs.. (excuse the quality plz)
Welcome! Great car im not familiar with big audio system installs but wouldnt that rattle all sorts of things (interior bits mostly) loose over time?
It can rattle some things apart, but where I want to end up its more of a tearing door seams and metal parts and breaking the latches
The boom is not in the BMW, have any pics? Sent from my potato phone
Here is a pic of the jeep (in the beginning when the wall just started.. It has changed ALOT since this point like moved back behind pillars ect..)

Hey everyone,
Just dropping an intro about myself for the group. I purchased my first BMW back in may of 14. It is a 2009 BMW 335xi. Current mods are alpina flash, some various custom coding, JB4, DCI, and a little bit of a custom exhaust. It is sitting on the sport wheels with a M-tech lip and spoiler and Tein S-tech springs. Overall this car is probably the most fun to drive of any car i've owned (why I bought it). As far as planned mods, the car probably will not get much more. I am avidly trying to get into the "big leagues" of car audio competition so most of my free time and money goes there. I have a guy I work with that has been pushing me to get on here, so I figured it was about time to do so. Hope to meet you all eventually!

Well, John asked me if I'd do a build log on here and I said I'd give it a shot. So here is my college try.
I purchased a 2009 335xi AT about 2 years ago and originally had no plans of modding it, but funny how that always changes. Seriously though I had no idea what engine the car had or anything when I got it, but after some research the wheels started turning. Like everyone here I started out with the basic "Tune" for the N54 (JB4 G5 ISO). I was amazed at what the simplest of changes made the biggest power, but about 6-7 months later I started with the turbo rattles. Time slip in picture was only with the BMS cone filters and the JB4. It was also a green light start (explains the reaction time).
