Same part, look at more applications on pelican, it shows manual/auto m50/52, s50/52. Not sure why the description on realoem and pelican say "auto trans cover plate".

Good times working on cars with sideways engines...

$13 from pelican. Or somebody come trade him one for a fancy oil filter cap.
-
Got one and it looks great, I will post a picture of it in action when I am back from vacation.

Excellent, thanks. So if replacing a head it would be best to always get the early head because then you have an available port for aftermarket water temp gauge. This car won't be getting one though as it's an older guy's daily driver.
-
Is anything different besides the 3 ports on the side for temp sensors/tb heater? Reason I ask is because the reman head I was sent is a 3 port head from a 93 rather than a 2 port head (going on 98). From the research I've done it appears that although the cams are different, the cam specs are not different. The only difference is that they are thicker and better balanced on the obd2 heads. Long story short am I going to run into anything after I get it installed that won't work?

Royal Purple goes in the dif. Get it at Napa or amazon.

Did you paint and then machine the oil filter cap, or just paint and then sand off the top of the ribs? Looks cool either way

Welcome, looks like a fun project.

Also Bavarian Autosport does free shipping on orders over 150 unless something huge like a bumper or exhaust. Both have very good customer service. They also sell any parts if you search for OEM part numbers, they just don't list them in their catalog.

Putting this up for one of the tech's at Concours who owns this. Its a nice sedan, rust issues aren't bad!
Whoever gets this will be my twin! Arctic Grey on Black. Best colors available if I do say so myself lol.

I was, I live in Platteville now. Probably will be back in a year or two. I take it you are in Wausau? What do you drive I may have seen you around. I am back every month or two to visit family.
-
Awesome, this is in the parking lot of the Wausau Homes plant right on the highway.
-
I'll probably just get a reman unless anyone has a good head they would like to sell. He is wanting to get it on the road soon, how did you bend the valves on a chain drive engine? Also any recommendations on suppliers? If nobody has a better suggestion I will go with Clearwater Cylinderheads out of Cali. Does 850 sound like a reasonable price?

That's going to be great! I have the UUC lightweight flywheel w/ e34 m5 clutch and love it. It feels like how it should have come from the factory.

Looking good Brando!! You would be givin'er with no shoes. Haha, you also need the black decals for the roundel.
-
They look good, I haven't noticed them before. I guess you gotta keep the rocks down when rallying!
