  1. They are ESM 004. They were on the car when I bought it. My style 5s will be on soon. Polished lip, gold centers but what to do with the bolts?? Polish them or paint them gun metal? So many ideas, not enough time.

I have a PLX gauge but I need to get a new "brain". I fried mine.

It is a ton of fun! I don't know how to upload a video to the forum. I'll get one one on Instagram. Follow @drleadfoot.

I'm getting boost creap at 5000 rpms with a 5lbs spring. I think the manifold is flowing too well to maintain low boost. Up I go! 12-15lbs spring today.

I have 350 cop free miles on the car so far. At 500 I will change the oil and "try" to baby it to 1000. Probably will run 5w-30 Mobil, AMS or Royal Purple synthetic.

Oil argument starting now.  Royal Purple HPS!! not the API stuff.

  2. I thought it was strange but both are the same, neither seat will heat until someone sits in it.  I don't see anything in he ETM that would cause that either, maybe they have open spots that make connection with weight on the seat.  I don't drive it in the winter so no big deal.  Thanks for the exact ETM for my car though, very handy.

  3. Looks good, I will do that.  Also going to try using a larger brake cylinder hone to clean up the trailing arm bore before putting it in.  Hopefully I will be done with this car on Monday, I need to get it back to the owner and help him get his e30 back together so he can break it in before winter.

  4. The cable has little chance of coming out of the trailing arm once it is that stuck. You could always detach the cable from the handbrake lever and pull it all of the way through. It would take a bit of work, but might be the best option.

That's what I was trying to confirm, thanks.  I almost have the bearing cut through so I will just get it out that way.  What methods have you guys used to reinstall?

  5. Hmm, yea I don't want to buy another cable.  I got the hub out no problem with a slide hammer.  The axle is out and I tried the slide hammer on the bearing but it wouldn't budge.  Ended up cutting a groove in the outer race with a die grinder and cutoff wheel.  With some hammering and a chisel a chunk broke out and cut the back of my hand pretty good so that was the end of working on it until Monday when I am off work again.  A little more cutting and it should come out.  How did you reinstall the bearings?
