The story is some rich dude in Wisconsin who collects movie props picked this bike up and wants us to make it street legal. Its...interesting, to say the least. No front brake, sticky throttle, and its heavy as hell. But I did get to ride a prop from a movie, so thats pretty neat. And I did enjoy the movie the Book of Eli, so bonus points for that.
The bike was made out of a Big Dog Motorcycle, which we are the only dealer in the area. They did recently, however (I think on Monday), go out of business.

A few more shots of the bike.

Check it out, its the genuine article. And I got to ride it. The goofy bastard riding it would be me.

I will be there! I'll bring my iX and a 30 case of Boxer. Hopefully I will be meeting a couple of yous guys beforehand to help me turn my clearly daily driver into something I can be cocky about. Haha.

Well, I have a lot of AWD transmission questions, and to the best of my knowledge they dont cover any iX drive train in the Bentley manual. Plus I need help doing a jack test (I dont have a jack currently). Mainly I need someone to come look at my car and help me acknowledge all the issues that need fixing. Im used to working on motorcycles that are pre-1970. And I find transmissions/drive trains on AWD auto trans cars intimidating. Plus I need someone with some knowledge of building E30's in general to give me some idea of what modifications I should go for. This is really my first time trying to "build" a faster/more agile than stock car. Thanks all!

Here's how I see it. Its all wheel drive, and I sometimes I use it to haul around stuff. So it could totally be a truck. haha

nice truck plate
Yeah, that was the day I picked it up, and I figured I'd throw the plate from my winter beater on it so I wouldn't get pulled over for the weekend while I waited to go to the DMV. Haha, good catch though.

Hey all, Im new to the Bimmer wrenching scene, and Im looking for some spiritual guidance on my iX. If anyone lives near Wauwatosa and would be willing to have a look at my ride, send me a message. I work down at Jamie's Customs in Big Bend, and Im here pretty much everyday. So if anyone is local to Big Bend, feel free to drop by during the day on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (our "slower" days). Thanks all!

And my secret mesh:

I'd give you $100 if you could ride it all day. That thing is hard to ride, and you take a beating on it.
