  1. Well smotth running values def indicates cylinders 1 and 2 misfiring at that time. BUt your fault codes show more, and a low fuel level fault also. When does the misfire occur? Id be inclined to either investigate cylinders 1 and 2 or clear all faults, make sure you have more then a 1/4 tank of gas and see what faults return. coils. plugs, injectors could all cause this.

  2. The top light in my post was on? If its full could be a bad coolant level sender, as long as ita full and no overheat id bet its alright. Let me know about the recall and if you need me to install injectors for you,

Do you have the software to run codes and diagnose the issue? As it could be a HDP that is causing the misfires also. What about initializing the new injectors? DO you have oem bmw sftware to do this?

  3. The choice of the right SAE grade is based on the climatic conditions in the region in which you normally drive.

  4. it sure doesn't look a whole lot like mine,  but I'm not sure if I have a stage 4 or a stage 5? And its red if that makes a difference.

Anyone else want an affordable twin disc? I'm going to be using a quartermasters twin disc, and their hydraulic TOB, and use a ring gear from an automatic, and build a simple button flywheel(or drill my bolt pattern into the one it comes with).

whole setup should be less than 500. And engage like stock :) yet hold 1000ftlb. Ive personally driven a couple of these quartermaster twin discs, and they work great and are CHEAP and rebuildable. never driven one in a bmw though..

Turns out bmw is awesome and uses a 10 spline 1 1/8th input shaft, which is the same as most SBC transmission options, so thing are cheap WOOHOO.

Were are you finding these quartermasters for $500? Unless they are used, which I would nmever use a used set up unless it had new clutch discs and such. From searching they are all around $1700 with TOB. Jon again go over to bimmerforums and search. Tried and true set ups that are known to work and not having to make your own flywheel.. Honestly if these set ups were that cheap and easy many people would have done it already.

  5. All of the reviews say it is very streetable and holds big power. I might need this in my life.

Please don't listen to anyone here that says its bad. Its stock feel as it has 2 clutch discs so doesnt need as much clamping force to achieve the same thing your south bend would. I have driven a 673whp m52 e34 with one and could a very slight difference. Go to bimmerforumns were people actually have experince with them not here were its all here say. John I know all the secrets let me know if you need anyother info. Haha

  6. I am about 1 hr and 15 min from MIwlaukee. Would be mroe than happy to look at it. Diag cost would be $85. I use all bmw oem parts, which i get at employee pricing and do not upcharge. Have a lift and oem bmw scan tool. If you need to stay in the milwaukee area go to urban motorworx. Stay away from Kummrow. After seeing a e30 m3 they sold to a friend and a e30 track car they prepped I'd say the work is questionable. Anymore info please pm me.

    Thanks

  7. UH WUT. 9k turbo kits for 550whp is exactly why I would take an e36 haha. But I understand what you are saying.

    4K e36m3 plus 4k turbo kit for 550whp or

    10k e46m plus 10k turbo kit for 550whp/NAH MEAN?

But id rather have an e46m any day of the flippin week. But I'm more likely to buy a 328is than an e46m3 as well..

O boy here we go. Please please put together a $4k turbo kit with a quality turbo garret gt or Percision DBB billet wheel based turbo with a tubular manifold for $4k. Hell the turbo alone will be $1750 ish alone. Don't forget everything else. Tuning included, rk tunes is $1800 starting. You may be bale to put a turbo kit together for $4k but it won't be quality like a CES or max psi kit. Which even for e36's is roughly $7k

  8. If that's in as good of shape as he says it is then that seems like a fair price.  These prices have been creeping up on e36 m3's for about the last 6 months.  As much as I think this is still the outcast in the M3 community I believe more people are starting to see the value in these cars.  At some point soon I have a feeling we're going to be saying(in an old man voice), "I remember when you could buy an e36 M3 for pennies!" and then we would shake our cane's those damn kids now-a-day's.

They will always be pennies. e46's are dropping pretty steady. Have seen some under $10k. good condition with fairly low miles can be had for $11-14k. Also with having maxpsi turbo kits for $9k with 550whp on tap out the door why get a e36 at all?

  9. Timmy gets a little opinionated sometimes. Don't mind him.

I will be replacing the #3 coil because it doesn't "snap" over the plug and sits loose. #sketch

I know i do...haha. Backyard mechanics annoy me sometimes. I see no problem carrying spare coils but not uaing them until one actually fails. Also #3 coil boot is probably your issue not the whole coil. But maybe you want to carry 3 sets of spares just in case.
  10. You had one bad coil? Trust me...replace all 6. If one goes bad...the other 5 will go soon after.

This is dumb advice. So say one control arm ball joint goes bad, your suppose to replace the other side as well? Please give me all your old parts when you do this. I'll use them when my car breaks.
