  1. honestly, looking at the site, i doubt i will win anything. theres no previous winners listed, no prize listed, and i had to check 'i have read and understand the terms and agreements' and i couldnt even find the terms and agreements, lol.

  2. From their website:

    http://www.badgerbimmers.org/main/2011SpringCleanup.shtml

2011 Spring Cleanup - May 7th - THREE OF THEM!! Click here for more details.

The remnant of last week’s blizzard prompts me to think ahead towards spring, warmth and snow free roads. So far this winter has been quite cold with frequent snow. Spring training starts next week and with any luck the start of spring training will not be snowed out which old man winter tried to do with the Super Bowl. To keep warn thought and warn weather in mind I am planning one of Badger Bimmers spring activities, Spring Clean UP. The Clean Up will be held on Saturday May 7th. We are returning to our favorite location, O’Reilly Motorcar facility. Mike Loos, our club’s recently president and owner of O’Reilly’s, has invited the club back for the Spring Clean up.

Mike provides support to wash cars and a heated shop for all the finishing and detailing you want to complete on your car. Our activities will start at 10 AM on that Saturday. Car washing will continue into early afternoon. Bring your car to the rear of the shop for washing and then drive into the heated shop so you can wax, clean the interior or whatever. O’Reilly Motorcar is located on Cherry Street between 3rd and 4th. This is just north of downtown Milwaukee.

I am inviting Nick Sanfilippo from Acci-dent to attend and offer paintless dent removal services. Their dent removal results have been amazing. If you are interested in having a dent removed contact Nick Sanfilippo at 414-305-5005 a few days before the event and let him know where the dent is. Some repair locations require special tools and Nick needs to know what special tool he needs to bring for your specific repair. I have a dent to remove this year and hope the results are as excellent as last time.

The club will be proving continental breakfast items to enjoy along with great conversation with your club members. Plan on coming and have an enjoyable morning with your club members. See you there on May 7th.

If you have question call Dave at 262-784-4180.

  3. I'd be willing to bet that with the 205s and drop hats in front, you'd be happy with how it looked! Not really worth the $400-$1200 and added complexity of coil overs.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure you can remove some of the dead coil on the IE springs with no effects on its function. You can't cut much, maybe 1/2 coil or something and gain another 1/4" of drop.

  4. Randomly, a huge truck carrying an ore tank or some such thing passed through my neighborhood. There was a banner on it about taking photos and winning something, so why not?

Got the e30 into the pictures, of course, so vote for me on their website and maybe I will win a pat on the back! The other entries are meh, and have hardly any votes.

the website is slightly strange, vague, etc but why not give it a go. i figure you guys can rack up the votes for me.

  5. IE springs are progressive, so they feel softer in their first bit of travel then stiffen up. the JOM kit would be bouncy not because of soft springs, but because of cheap/soft dampening from the struts not properly matched to the spring rate. the JOM kit + bilstein or koni sports would be better.

maybe i missed it, but why did you want to go with the JOMs?

  6. yeah man, 205s your next time around will fill the fenders back up like the pictures with your weaves = perfect drop. from what i've heard, the ride quality of the JOM kit will be worse than your current setup. sacrificing ride quality for adjustability is a step backwards, if you ask me.

  7. thanks guys! yes 4x100 to 5x120 adapters used here. adapters are 18mm thickness, wheels are et41 so final offset is et23.

Matt- the rake is on purpose. i hate when late models tuck the wheel in back but not in front, so i raised the rear up slightly to even it out. plus, this is a daily and i never all the room i can get for those big tires not to rub. i have spring pads + trunk sound deadening removed.
