Thanks!
I'm super stoked, this is the EXACT drop I was hoping for, perfect for me
Going to modify the brackets on the corbeau's tonight to make them sit a little more upright, and hopefully fit a little better..
Also did this today, they'll go on tomorrow Not perfect by any means, will look good from 10+ feet away lol

Finally got my suspension installed
15mm drop hats, IE springs, Bilstien sports. Not nearly as stiff as some people say it is, but its definitely noticeable over worn out stock pieces
New rims will be coming this week hopefully

March 15th should work perfectly for me, and my car should be done by then

Christ how many cars does that guy have...
I almost said "too many", but then I realized that's impossible if you do the kind of work he does
His porsche is running 17x14 rear tires lol

You guys gotta read the Q&A section at the bottom
And yes, his name is Vlad on R3V, and the chic is his girlfriend.
-
Yeah its always a nice feeling changing all that stuff! The springs are Ireland Engineering Stage 3 Race springs.
-
Very Nice!!

Bought it about 2 months ago, been sitting since then.
Sold the LSD, trans, and driveshaft to a BFC member in Madison a couple weeks ago.
Here's an update; all of this should be going on in the next day or two

Well, I tried on one of the Koseis to test out the spacers/fitment. Wheel gap looks about the same, but that should be solved once the suspension is figured out. I'm still unsure if I'll keep them or not, I'd like to find a set of 16x8's somewhere.

And for a little update of significance: looking for either a good deal on a new GC kit, or preferrably a used kit. I'm liking the idea of Auto-X more and more, and I'll be moving to Madison next year where there are some epic roads around the Tyrol area. I think a quality set of coilovers would serve me well
The only issue I have right now is that the entire interior will most definitely be put on hold for a long time. The gov has decided it is going to take another $25,000 (on top of the $45,000 it took right off the bat) from my mom's pension she got from my dad passing away, and that means she'll be needing some help until she can find another job and recoup some of the money being stolen.

I can get some more detailed pics for you on Monday when I'm back in town. There is wear on the drivers side bolster, I'll look them over closely and let you know
-
yeah, its been between -19* and 5* the past week, without windchill!
-
Looks great, really liking the mustang too!
-
If you wanna come buy them I'd pick up some other seats
-
looks like a fun project! would be kinda cool to do the headliner to match the boot/shifter. Something different for sure!
I'd be kind of worried about there being "too much going on" if the headliner was the same plaid. I'll probably go with an alcantara knockoff or something
looks like you are going to do some great mods to it! i love the interior choice, i also went from gray to tan vinyl! those wheels are going to look really good too.
I'm probably gonna get some IGGEE seat covers for it in black, I've never been too fond of the tan interior myself
I just cant wait for the rest of the suspension stuff to show up so I can check out the stance!

Id take this 1M over a new M3. After the e46 M3 I really stopped caring about newer BMWs..
-
I'm definitely down for meets, haven't been to any..ever.
I also think anywhere near Elkhart Lake/Kettle Moraine area would be a great place. I've been there on bikes multiple times, and there's almost always some sort of car/bike show going on
-
The white one is a concept CSL 1m right?
I actually really like the new 1 series, too bad most of the 1 series drivers think its FWD
-
^^I'm down in Madison every other weekend for snowboarding/visiting the GF.
I'll try to get some of my friends on here, it'd be awesome for this site to take off and grow into something big

All of Chilton lost power this morning from 2am until 7am, to keep my snake alive I had to move his cage in front of the gas stove and run it from 3am-7, it also kind of heated the kitchen which was a plus lol
It was -19 here according to the Temp gauge on my computer, and that's before windchill
-
Thanks! Not a slicktop, but the sunroof does not work, so I'm considering one of those carbon fiber filler plates.. I'm also trying to talk my aunt into making me a headliner that would cover the useless void where the sunroof should be.
-
I do buy beer for those who will work on my car
thats roughly my best skill too lol
We should have a thread or something so we can all get to know each other by name, makes everything much easier

Its pretty cool to have a BMW forum for us WI guys. I'm from Chilton, and this is my 8th BMW in the past 4 years. I look forward to meeting up with you guys later on, and here's my car:
1989 325i
215k miles, I'm the 3rd owner, 2nd owner had it since 14k miles.
Clean body, very minimal amounts of surface rust, couple minor dings.
Interior is ripped to shreads, and is currently out of the car for the most part.

Suspension/Tires
So far I have IE Stage 3 Race Springs to drop it 2" front and 1.5" rear.
*H&R 15mm drophats will be coming soon, along with Bilstein Sports and a full susp overhaul

Picked up these 17x7.5 Kosei K1s a couple weeks back, all five for $300. One tire was slashed, the rest have 60% life. I would have preferred 16s, but these will do!

Interior
This will probably be very basic, the stock comfort seats are torn to shreds, it has blue/grey carpet, and blue door cards. Hopefully next week I'll get black door cards from a friend. I decided to pick up these tan sport seats, front/rear for $150. They will be covered black, and the stock carpet will be removed, cleaned and painted black using the Duplicolor fabric paint.

Other than that, I'm planning on respraying it this spring, LSD, and a new exhaust with Borla/Magnaflow muffler.
Want? Yes....

Wow, you'd think spammers could at least think of a generic phrase that didn't make me want to rip my head off..
