Hi all I decided to perform the manual swap on my E61 and one of the missing pieces of the puzzle is the shifter arm and linkage. If anyone has one for sale, let me know. Thanks

I'm 43, married, 3 kids although 2 are legally adults now, making beer at miller is my current position although IT is where I would like to go soon. I have been into cars since I was 12 when my uncle had a resto shop
back in the 80's. I always got stuck doing wiring because everyone else didn't like doing it. There wasn't much wiring to do on 40-74 american cars and trucks but oh well. Raw hp cars is what I liked to build, but I was always into sleepers, I don't care what make, as long as I could keep them looking and sounding stock, I was all for it. My two young adults are finally getting into cars now that they could drive and one brought me a rust free 85 iroc roller to help him to build and the other chose a 04 impreza RS. Looks like I have an american vs import competition brewing. So my toy is a 96 318ti cali top that I stuffed a 87 grand national driveline into, it took me a while for the hatch back body style to grow on me but it did. It currently runs and drives and I am on the work the bugs out stage.

Thanks all for the kind words, I'll try to get her ready by may but body and paint will not be done till the fall. We will have to play it by ear...
Also I thought about painting the intercooler black, but couldn't bring myself to do it yet, I also haven't seen any bov return setups on the GN's

You got that right, I was tired of messing with the often troublesome maf those cars had, and my engine bay is tight enough, so more room saved is a good thing

Im on my 3rd revision of my intercooler/ intake routing as I eliminated the maf set up and changed it to speed densitiy.
Also I am finishing up the a/c, and repairing some small leaks I found while the car was stored for the winter.

Ill try to get it done by then, thanks for the invite

1ofakind71...where is home for you? Just wondering if I would ever see you out and about when the weather shapes up. I live in the dells and work in waunakee. Spend alot of time on the freeway back and forth. Very rarely do I see any ti's. I did see a silver one in waunakee, summer of 12.
I'm in milwaukee, the car will be out more in the middle of april so I can finish working all the bugs out. After that, let the fun begin

Thanks Zojave, and DrLeadFoot. Yes HipMF, I love building sleepers with old or new tech, its getting them to play nice with each other that is the trick
I love Cars, You Probably have not seen the car as it was only out of the garage a few times before the weather killed my fun

Thanks for the warm welcomes, and to earl for telling me about this site, also CYoung, I am in milwaukee.

You would be surprised how much updates have been used on this swap, its all about speed and sleeper status, if i could hide the sound of the bov and the intercooler you would think it is just
another hatch with rims. thanks for the welcome.

Hi all, while i'm not new to bimmers, I am new to this site. I have a cali top 318ti that I modified to go a bit faster as the M44 was just too slow.
Instead of swapping in a straight 6, I decided to do something a bit more challenging, and from what I have seen so far, something no one else has done on a ti
The engine of choice is a LC2, or a grand national swap, since my car was an auto in stock form I kept it that way. Its almost ready for prime time, so I
hope to have it out soon.

Hello, I am searching for a clutch alignment tool that I may purchase or borrow for that matter. I know I can just order one online but was trying to find one for tomorrow so I can finish up my wagon project. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
