$15k and I'd buy it today..
Seems like taking the engine out of your wife's car while she's gone for the day is kind of a shitty thing to do.

Used E class AMG wagon is in that $50k range... I may take that over an e34 m5 wagon. It'd be close.
Used CTS-V wagon is in that price range too

It makes me so angry to see shit like this. I don't get why it's so hard to respect the property of others. Glad it's not going to be super expensive for you to fix.

I had him put my downpipes in the first time and he replaced my control arms. His prices were SUPER reasonable and he let me hang out and watch which was cool. He also responded to emails quickly when I was looking for someone to do this work. Not many places respond to emails. I would definitely recommend too.

I picked up a water pump and t-stat for $391 shipped from partsgeek.com. I found a $15 off coupon to bring it down to that price. Just in case anyone is interested...

I know they have a dynojet, so they're usually considered pretty accurate, not a heartbreaker like a mustang dyno.
I was planning on heading there after work today, but I need new spark plugs, as it just started misfiring above 18psi, I ordered some from amazon on Tuesday, they said guaranteed delivery by Thursday, and they somehow arrived in Des Moines, Iowa this morning (mind you they shipped from the new amazon Kenosha facility). So I likely won't be getting them until tomorrow. I'm trying to find a store around here that carries the NGK 5992 or Bosch ZGR6STE2 and so far, no luck..
I had a shipping problem with something from Amazon a couple weeks ago. I notified them about it and they gave me an additional month of Prime for free.

Besides Zimbrick where is a good shop that works on bimmmers and ideally isn't as expensive as the dealership? Any idea what an average cost per hour of labor should be? Thanks
I took my car to Kelly Moss Motorsports for work on my ofhg & vcg. Their rate seemed pretty fair based on what I've seen other said they paid for the same work. You can send them an email and they will actually respond, which is something most shops haven't done. They specialize in Porsches but I've seen other cars there like Lotuses, Corvettes, Audis, etc.

Is there something im missing or is this just way over priced for a 325i with a wing and a M on it ?
"It even accidentally came with the European floor mats as a result!"
Those have to be work a few thousand, right?

Which turbo is causing you the rattling issue? Mine is specifically the front. I took mine into Dubuque and Davenport BMW dealerships to try to get mine fixed (still all oem) and they turned their noses up at it. They were trying to "adjust" the wastegates (I could do this just as well), and charge me 16 hours shop time. Im going to go with either upgraded twins or big single.. not dealing with it anymore..
That sucks that they won't do anything about it. I took mine to Zimbrick in Madison and it was there for a few hours and they called me and told me they were going to replace them. They were very easy to work with.

Well, since no one has pointed it out.........what kind of car are they on............
I saw the ad for the miata dressed up as the z3 and wanted to vomit.

I know some one personally who went to the Milwaukee dealer and they did the swap with the catless pipes. Its a matter who you know i guess regardless id save cash on the swap back and forth to upgrade the turbos with better ones. Just because the rattle will come back. Nature of the beast
I'll probably just keep the cats on after the switch to avoid the hassle in the future if the same problem occurs.
-
Ok, that contradicts what I was told by Zimbrick in Madison but if you can get a few more months out of them then that's awesome!
Huh, that's strange because they were the ones that told me about the in-service date. I also emailed BMWNA and they confirmed what Zimbrick said.
-
What is the build date? I ask because the warranty goes off of the build date on your car not the production date.
The build date is 4/20/2007. The warranty is based on the in-service date which for my car is June something 2007.
-
Im not really sure. Whats the year and mileage. Lots of times the rattle can be reduced by adjusting the waste gates. Lots of times also dealers will upload a new dme flash that will rob throttle response but keep the waste gates quiter
it's an '07 with about 65k.

Hopefully it doesn't go away once you put the stock cats back on. Having done many do installs for some reason installing catless downpipes amplifies it. Aka a car that had no noise what so ever had the rattle after we installed them. You have an extended warranty or are you close to the factory mileage warranty on yhe turbos? Also for $250 I can get them replaced just how you are set up now. But you will have to take a drive to Chicago.
Well, if it does go away with the stock cats, oh well. I just don't want to hear it any more. And I was referring to the factory mileage warranty for the turbos. I'm in Madison but don't mind taking a drive since there's not really anyone around here.

yea.. life sucks for me.. lots of people need my help but i cant right now. I should open up soon
Haha, no worries. It must be nice to be so in demand.
Any chance of your schedule opening up in the next week or two? It's getting close to the end of my warranty. And the rattle is getting loud.

Contact Bobdudeman1988 on here.
Thanks for the suggestion but he seems pretty busy with his work schedule.
