Okay Brian, Here are the control arms and brakes. Kinda hard to tell but the brake is considerably larger than stock.

^^^
Hey ... I resemble that
-
-
Sure... I will get some pics and post them.
Diff mount part # - 33171129786
**This part number will cross reference as a 528e part number. The later 528e uses the same diff mount as the m535i in Europe. This is a better mount that is stronger and it is less than half the price of the US 535i diff mount.

I know you ... you work upstairs from me
-
you are correct.
Spax springs and sports. Poly rear subframe mounts, Aluminum lower control arms, 750 bushings in the thrust arms, heavy duty diff mount, 540i/740i brakes
-
I have not but you are correct ... your car will feel slow on the straights but there are some FAST turns at RA that will freak you out.
-
I am planning to do both as well as Road America in Sept ...
-
He already has, and it looked to move and handle real nicely
yep!!!
SWEET .... We will have to get together for the drive down and pits.

Test fit

@Snap Understeer ... You doing HPDE this year ? I cannot wait !!
-
I love the Parkay .... gives the shop some character.
-
The motor is still happening but I am not sure if it will be complete for this year .... some stuff has to fall together. There is some cosmetic stuff happening this year and a new diff (shout out to GunMetalGrey) Gray ... Grey ... Gray .. $^%^(& I can never remember .... Grey in England and Gray in the US ... right ?? maybe ??
@Kaiser ... thanks for helping me succeed in the Arny joke
-
I was going to start this earlier but I forgot - I forget a lot - it might be a tumor
Just random shots of dis-assembly at this point. I will try to remember a real camera next time (here we go with the f*ing forgetting again) so the shots are a bit better.
I will tell you what is happening if you want to know or it just can be a surprise every time I update .... You decide

Rewire the speakers ... Take a nice day, pull a seat, have some beer and run some wires from the head unit to the speakers. It's easier

So sad I have to miss this ...

Thanks for the compliments .... I really had a good time with everyone there and wish I had more time to talk.
.... now the hunt for a rear end .... 3.64 or 3.73 LSD out there ??? anyone ??
-
The car was a lot of fun, big brakes helped a lot and gave me piece of mind.
Hankook Ventus V12 ... it was pretty good. I would like to run a better tire next time. Started at 38 psi and dropped to 36 after the first session which helped a lot.

I missed this thread somehow before the event ... What a blast and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the e28 !!!
-
Glad to hear Classic did you right ... I will end up there after the motor build as I will need to join the headers to the cat-back.
-
Classic exhaust ... or Classic Muffler ... one of those 2 names ... in Milwaukee. They are one of the best and have built a bunch of e30 custom exhausts.
-
I will come for the afternoon ... no overnight for me but I really am looking forward to seeing the cars.

That is the M3 from BFR.
Yes, they say that they are an M5 part but I am not positive. They are part of a kit sold here - http://blunttechclassic.com/?page_id=279
