  2. I bought mine from Pegasus. You can save money if you buy online and guess by measuring your head, but I wanted to make sure it fit right. Just make sure it's rated SNELL SA 2010 and you'll be good for any track days/autox/racing.

  3. Even if you get it running, it would probably need a rebuild to get back to the stock 194 hp. It's a good chance that the mounts are different, so custom fab there. You'd probably have to use the old transmission too, so the driveshaft is likely a different length, and custom linkages needed to the shifter. A better option is to swap an m50 based I6 into your 318, such as the s52 I have for sale :D. Or, find another 91-95 3-series with good paint and interior but a bad motor and sell your car since it runs fine (not sure which works out better money-wise).

  4. I went to the GTG two years ago, I was surprised with the large turnout. A few BMW's, but mostly slammed and hella-flush v-dubs :P.

I'd be interested in a shirt, maybe we make a few men's. Ladies tee would be fine if necessary, but I don't really have the right body for it.

  5. Hello everyone, just found this forum so I figured I'd join and introduce myself. I've been into BMW's for 6 years now, and am becoming increasingly passionate (read: obsessed) about cars. It started with enjoying driving, moving from maintenance to modifications, and on to some autocross and track time/racing. I live in downtown Milwaukee, I work as an engineer and will be finishing up grad school soon.

    On to the cars...In winter I drive a 96 328iS, but whenever I can it's my 1999 M Coupe:

I trailered the car here from Kentucky with a ripped up rear floor/diff mount that I needed to repair:

Aside from repairs, my only real modifications so far are urethane bushings, a tighter steering rack, and Stromung exhaust. In the next few months though, I plan on swapping this s54b32 in:

Not BMW content, but I've also gotten involved in Lemons racing this last season, so much fun:

Glad to be part of the Wisconsin BMW community, hope to see some of you around at meets!
