  1. if you have a high quality 3/8 metric set of deep and shallow sockets, a set of 3/8 alien sockets, e-torx sockets, wire strippers and pliers, a dead blow hammer, #1 #2 #3 Philips screwdrivers, a low profile jack, 2 tall and 2 short jack stands, and metric open end wrenches you should given common sense, time, and the internet be able to repair or rebuild just about any component on any BMW chassis. that being said I have a 3000$ tool box with close to 25k worth of tools in my garage and still take things to a local shop on occasion.
