patsbimmer1
Jeff Koons has made another art car to follow up the e92 GT2 car he did. His first design was polarizing but ultimately I think it's aged very well. The use of color was done well and it expresses speed well. That stretched paint splatter look is something I really like. His NEW design is more pop art but he stretches the horizontal lines to give it motion while stationary. I think with different wheels and lowered or put on a racecar I could get behind this. Until... I actually got behind it. Anyone else see what I see?
YoungCR
*sigh* I get the idea behind the rear design but it does come out looking like you’re staring down a stink star. Disappointing because the e92 is one of my favorites too. Seems like he took some inspiration from the Baldessari car. KaiserRolls
The longer you look at it, the worse it gets Rekpoint
straight6pwr
not as bad as baldi, but still not great. i read the bmw.com article. an excerpt: Quote "The exterior paint job alone absorbed over 200 hours of painstaking manual labor, where the color samples were often applied under the scrutiny of magnifying glasses. “Dozens of engineers and designers have given their all to celebrate our partnership and make his vision come true,” said Zipse. The artist himself spent many days on site at the Dingolfing plant over a period of months to discuss design options with all the BMW employees involved." it took them dozens of of engineers to vinyl wrap a car? and choosing colors is paintstaking manual labor? what a bunch of privileged buttholes. Jdesign
Well, at least the design as a whole (hole?) is cohesive. At first I didn't quite understand the "puff" on the side, but after looking at the back, it makes much more sense (sents?) patsbimmer1

Put it on a racecar and people would lose their minds with excitement. It just needs to lose the exploding butthole.
RobZR
Why didn't they just copy the whole design the patent has run out a long time ago. YoungCR
