Partiallypurple
Did some more polishing today and replaced my brake line I broke. Got the brakes all re-bled and took it down lake drive and hit some boost! I don't know if theres a better feeling than working on a car every day for 8 months straight and then finally getting to drive it. Surprisingly had no rubbing or anything. Can full lock wheels and all. Ignore my door being opened in the video. There was one issue; my amber corner on my drivers side flew out and got ran over immediately doing about 65 mph. Oh well, thats minor. IMG_8521.mov P_Roloff, Jdesign, patsbimmer1 and 4 others

patsbimmer1
Love the period correctness of so much of this car. It makes me want another e36. Partiallypurple
Partiallypurple
Towed the car in the rain out to Lake Country Alignment in Dousman today, got her nice and ready to roll. Used an open car trailer and it was raining anyways so I decided to drive the car back for the hour ride. the car handles a million times better now being properly aligned and with the bigger/better tires and bushings! the car didn't rub once. the drive couldn't have gone any better if it weren't for the rain. Going to try and cruise out to the e30 meet Sunday if it doesn't rain and if I get a couple more things done before then. Finally after a year the car is getting close to where I want it! Partiallypurple
‘‘Twas a hot azz/humid day in the garage. Spent the day finishing these custom panels I’ve slowly been making since the fall. I haven’t touched them in a month or so but decided to try and get them finished. The hardest part of this whole thing was figuring out how to correctly position the door handles/speaker holes, and the pull strap. I used OEM Porsche pull straps for a very nice clean look and decided unlike all the other panels on the market to lower it. I wanted to inner door to show the purple on top like the Lotus Exige. I felt this looks a lot cleaner for some reason. I wrapped the one in alcantara suede but ran out of material for the next one and probably will finish tomorrow. Overall very happy with how these ended up turning out. The interior is getting closer and closer everyday. I also ordered a new cup holder idea from BMW Milwaukee North today. Plan to use some Z3 trays. Will update once they come in early next week. (I don’t have the door handle in yet or the lower speaker. I’m waiting on a new chrome lux package handle as I broke mine somehow. (The lux are chrome. Should match the stainless hardware I mounted the panels with nicely)) patsbimmer1, SteelBlue, P_Roloff and 1 other

wasnt m3
Glad you made it today! Partiallypurple
Been driving the car a ton. Just took it to Barrington cars and coffee Sunday and it was a great time apart from the 94 degree weather.

Absolutely loving every second of it too. Besides breaking a diff bolt, the car has been solid. Partiallypurple
Update! I have now put on over 4000 miles this summer so far, and I LOVE it. Every single shift in this car feels and sounds so good. Thinking about doing a track day on the 15th, we shall see. Jdesign

Partiallypurple
Bought another BMW last week, plan to keep this one pretty stock and just daily and enjoy. Say hello to my 2005 330i ZHP! There were only 36 made in Alpine/black leather/6speed! This car is truly incredible. I think the ZHP might be one of the best all around daily’s bmw ever made? I love it. I picked it all the way up in Atlanta and took a proper detour to the tail of the dragon for a break in. It needs some small stuff here and there cosmetically, but the chassis and drive terrain are in fantastic shape! already polished the headlights, PPF’d the black pillars, and new knob. B C
Beautiful! ZHPs just look “right” what is PPF Partially Purple Feltcovering? I re-glued mine but ended up just pulling the fabric off entirely after some bubbling. Nobody would be able to tell they are naked Partiallypurple
Partiallypurple
PPF - paint protection film aka clear bra. Protects the paint and is way more durable than clearcoat so it is much harder to scratch. Also has a built in ceramic coating. forgot to take an after pic, so went outside quick to take one. They’re dusty right now. But not a scratch on them, and no longer faded! P_Roloff and B C
