New Guy

totally reasonable. A coworker of mine who is also 23 just took delivery on an E92 last Friday. 2009 with low mileage (like 34k or something) and he paid 33,500 for it, loaded up with iDrive, extended leather, etc. The average person coming out of college nowadays buying a new car will easily pay 30k. So a used E92 isn't far off the mark. My real estate partners are all from the banking world and when they did consumer lending, the average loans they paid out were in the 35-40k range, even for people who make 50-60k a year and just want to stretch a 72 mo car payment.

Not making any assumptions about the guy's financial situation, but I'm just saying that newer M cars lose a lot of value very quickly - it is not hard to acquire one for a pretty reasonable amount of money.
