SteelBlue
Power numbers are pretty tasty. Whats the plan for putting the power to the pavement now? suspenceful
suspenceful
Thanks guys! I'm very happy/impressed with the car. 13 hours ago, SteelBlue said: Power numbers are pretty tasty. Whats the plan for putting the power to the pavement now? I have some 275 Federal 595RSRR to try on my current wheels. The MPSS I have currently are actually really good at holding the power for a street tire. I'll be getting a set of 17" wheels to put an Mickey Thompson ET Street tire on. patsbimmer1
The Mickey T's should help a bit I would hope. 😜
suspenceful
Had a bit of an issue with the cheap eBay wheels, so @Tkuhn sold me a pair of rear Style 68 wheels from an E46. My girlfriend wouldn't let me steal some from her car. They're one of the only available wheels that have a high enough offset with some decent width. I'd still like a 9.5" wheel instead of these 8.5", but they'll work. The MT radials are on and it's a very tight fit. Any opinions on color? I am going to clean them up and spraybomb them tonight. suspenceful
I plastidipped them black the night before leaving. Better than the dirty factory finish, in my opinion. Just got back from a long weekend. The event was great, but very hot. Real-feel of 110-115* and very humid both days. I was very careful with the car, turned down the boost and didn't make a ton of passes. Had a few hiccups, but still a solid turnout. Stay tuned for a video soon! Daggerty
Nice time considering the temps. Did you log the iats? I'd be interested to see that.

Yes, most times they started between 110-130*F, then dropped during the pull and eventually rose up a bit at the top end. Never really exceeded 140*F. It gradually increased to 9* at 7k RPMs. If it senses knock, it will pull timing until the knock goes away.
