Manual e91! AWD and beige interior though...

A late model e30 sedan in my favorite shade of chalky red

I've been eyeing one of these as a potential first or second "real" car once I'm out of school in a few years, any thoughts? A manual 128i seems to check all the boxes.

That e91 is a buddy of mine and an old forum member here.  His name's Andy, he's a good dude.  I'm trying to convince him that an e90 m3 is the way to go.

The 128i is really "meh" car.  Doesn't do anything with any excitement and there's just about zero aftermarket if you want to modify the engine.  If you're going to get a 1er just get a 135i and live with the consequences of owning an n54.  Or get an n55 and live with fewer consequences.

Andys car is super tempting to me as I really want to replace my daily with a wagon, and it checks all the right boxes. Im kind of surprised its not sold already honestly.

In all honesty I think he's a little high on the price and not being an LCI hurts the value a bit.  It's not in excellent shape, no sport package, etc.  It's probably a good buy at $7k

Yeah, honestly the only thing it has going for it is the manual transmission. Otherwise it's a run-of-the-mill E91. AWD is standard in these cars, RWD is a rare spec. First model year, no sport package, halogen headlights, beige interior, cracked windshield, etc. Heated seats look to be one of the only options. Overpriced.

Who doesn't love an Alpine white wagon though?

Agree'd unless you can truly appreciate the N52 for just being a nice, smooth motor then you won't be happy. Great for daily driving but as a all around enthusiasts car it'll leave more to desire.
