Wow, that price just keeps going up!  I really missed the boat on my sale price I guess!

I thought the same thing. I was looking at an e92 with similar mods and miles for only 7k with brand new turbos included. I may have to jump on it if prices are going up 🤣🤣

"Sahara Beige" e46 wagon. Pretty cool, but at $7800 with 180k miles it kinda seems overpriced

Also I'm on Autotrader looking at some 8 series, it looks like the value of them has quietly skyrocketed?? I can't find one less then $12k

I remember around the time I got my first M3 (almost 6 years ago) I'd see them on craigslist for as low as $2500. I remember a 850ci in Denmark, WI for $4k, and I think it had a 6 speed.

I dont think it's been very quiet since rumours started about the new 8 series about two years ago prices have been steadily climbing.  Add to that a renewed nostalgia and a fascination with 80's and early 90's cars and it gets us here.

That wagon is super cool. I have seen it around before, and I know I have seen that impala in the background at local shows. E46 wagons are hard to find for the price of a sedan, especially ones that are not destroyed or rusty. Only downfall here is that its an auto.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to find a cheap E31. Its not easy.

Really awesome car, too bad its flat red. Im sure the guy wants trillions of dollars too since there isn't a price. HUGE pet peeve of mine. Your not serious if you don't have a price IMO.

What I see:

Image result for "325xi totaled

E24 with an Ouchie on the trunk. Still could part it out and make duoble that price

I guess the outcome of the paint almost made this guy speechless.

$15k for a basic E24 because the guy is making payments on it? Seems like a scam doesnt it?

I spy 4 piston BMW calipers.

I've seen quite a few 850ci's without 4 piston calipers, did they only come on euro cars? Or later model 850ci's?

They seem really rare

They change halfway through US production (8/93 and on) where as the Euro cars got a completely different setup with larger diameter rotors. The switch halfway through production did a few things such as lower thermo rise, allow an increase pad size, increase surface force for the larger pad, and prevent flex in that larger pad. It makes sense when you think about it.

Here is some info I found from a guy that found the info from another guy that might have got it from a guy at BMW?

Single piston front caliper:
Brake bias - 68% front & 32% rear.
Rotor thermal rise - 51% front & 49% rear.

Brembo 4-piston caliper:
Brake bias - 66% front & 34% rear.
Rotor thermal rise – 49% front & 51% rear.

Euro, CSi brakes w/4-pistion ATE caliper:
Brake bias - 66% front & 34% rear.
Rotor thermal rise - 50% front & 50% rear.
The larger (345x32mm front and 328x20mm rear) Euro CSi rotors reduce the calculated thermal rise by 15% over the smaller 324x30mm front and 324x12mm rear 840/850 rotors.

1. That 540i wagon is perfect, minus the flat clear coat. Still a beautiful car though, that I'd love to own. I wonder what his price is.

2. That 335i has been listed for a long time (longer than the 29 days on CL). I remember that exact ad from spring time. Wonder what the story is there.

3. Don't see too many clean 540i E34 anymore. Looks great.
